If he could only remove his own eyeballs so that he could look at himself and see that he is the exact creature he complains about.

All this because new leadership there wanted them to actually focus on news and be just a little less blatantly anti-Trump and liberally biased than they have been.

The last CBS Journalist I ever believed about anything was Eric Severeid. That bunch they have now are all marxist, like most of those MSM buffoons. They don't even try to hide it anymore.
President Trump is right about.........everything.

“Now, the new owner of our network is casting this legend aside, apparently to curry a moment of favor with the Trump administration.”
Of course, it’s Trump’s fault.
So the new owner Paramount headed by Right leaning David Ellison has decided not to have a Leftist propaganda program in 60 Minutes anymore. Shocking! It’s okay when the Lefties are in charge but it’s a disaster when Right leaning people get in charge.
"The waste is heartbreaking.“ No, Scott. You dumb frick. The ‘waste’ is finally the garbage being thrown out, you arrogant condescending prick.
"Last month, 60 Minutes lost its DNA when our entire senior leadership and two of our best on-air correspondents were cruelly fired without cause.“
Your DNA was Leftist ideology that a majority of America is sick of, dumb arse. ‘Cruelly fired.’ It’s cruel when Marxist ideologues are fired. Got it.
“They stood for fairness against the forces of political bias.” This is the single most hypocritical sentence in the entire statement. This needs no further comment.
“"For my part, new management has instructed me to inject falsehoods and bias into a politically sensitive story. I've been told to include assertions that are unverified. To date, in every case, I have managed to ignore these instructions or refuse them. Recently, politicians have been invited to choose correspondents for interviews on the broadcast. Giving politicians control over 60 Minutes interviews is not how this is done. Finally, incompetence and unprofessionalism in the new management have wreaked havoc. In a case involving one of my stories, the entire program came within 19 minutes of not getting on the air at all.”
Pelley is objecting to practices that 60 Minutes itself has either used, tolerated, or defended when the political narrative direction suited the old regime.
Example 1 from Wikipedia:
The 2004 George W. Bush / National Guard story is the clearest example
CBS aired a 2004 60 Minutes Wednesday report questioning George W. Bush’s Texas Air National Guard service based on documents that CBS later could not authenticate. CBS’s own independent review found major defects, including failure to obtain clear authentication and a false impression that an expert had authenticated the documents. CBS later said it should not have used them.
Example 2:
The 2013 Benghazi report was later discredited
In 2013, 60 Minutes aired Lara Logan’s Benghazi report based heavily on a source whose account later collapsed. CBS asked Logan and her producer to take a leave after an internal review found the report “deficient in several respects,” and CBS acknowledged that the story had fallen short.
Example 3:
The 2021 Ron DeSantis / Publix vaccine segment was criticized for misleading editing
In 2021, 60 Minutes ran a story suggesting possible favoritism between Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Publix over vaccine distribution. Critics objected that CBS edited DeSantis’s answer in a way that made the exchange look worse than the full response. Even the Society of Professional Journalists said 60 Minutes was not obligated to show the entire exchange, but should have provided more context.
“Pelley complains about bias being inserted into a politically sensitive story, but 60 Minutes has already been accused of exactly that: editing a Republican governor’s answer in a way that critics said strengthened the intended narrative.”
Example 4:
The Kamala Harris interview editing controversy created the same appearance problem
The 2024 60 Minutes interview with Kamala Harris became controversial because different CBS broadcasts used materially different portions of her answer. CBS denied deceitful editing and said the full transcript supported its position, but the FCC released the transcript and full video after a complaint alleging “news distortion.”
“Pelley says politicians must not control 60 Minutes interviews. But 60 Minutes created its own credibility problem when it edited a presidential-campaign interview so aggressively that the parent company later paid $16 million to settle the resulting lawsuit, even while denying wrongdoing.”
Example 5:
60 Minutes has also bowed to corporate pressure before
In the Jeffrey Wigand tobacco whistleblower case, CBS temporarily suppressed the explosive 1995 interview because of corporate/legal pressure. CBS itself later acknowledged that viewers did not hear Wigand’s most important statements until the following year because the interview had been “temporarily quashed by CBS corporate executives.”
“Pelley warns that new ownership is interfering with editorial independence. But CBS corporate interference with 60 Minutes is not new. The Wigand tobacco story was delayed under pressure from CBS executives long before Bari Weiss or Skydance entered the picture.”
More from Scotty: “i am deeply moved by the thousands of wishes we have received to 'keep up the good fight.' Let me add my well wishes Scott, get lost, hypocrite.
"I depart after 37 years at CBS with one emotion—a heart brimming with gratitude for the men and women of CBS News who encouraged and enriched my work, very often at the risk of their own lives. I pray for a day when those people and their ideals are honored again—a day when sanity, competence, and courage return."
Oh my, the violin music is so loud here. Tears are streaming down my face by this utterly courageous statement. What a fricking joke.

Pelley spent years whining about “threats to democracy” while stuffing his own opinions into every broadcast like a smug activist cosplaying as a journalist. He lectured America about objectivity while openly sneering at anyone outside his Manhattan leftist/marxist cocktail circuit.

They should cancel the show. The childish diatribe above is a pretty good indication that the ones who remain aren't worth trying to save. He lived the role for so long he actually forgot what he was, a low quality actor paid to dispense propaganda. Injecting bias was the job description all along, and that was never a problem when it matched his bias. Pelley and his peers/predecessors used up the last vestiges of their credibility and influence about the time that Pravda closed its doors back in the mid 90's. I'm surprised they lingered for this long.
