That statement by Waltz was embarrassing even though much of what he said is true or at least arguably true.
Hitting the Houthis after they have disrupted shipping lanes and fired on US ships was long overdue. Kudos to the administration for that. I even thought the back and forth among administration officials showed professionalism and different points of view, which is refreshing in view of the assertions that Trump has stacked his advisors with yes-men. But to deflect from an obvious and serious security breach is an insult to the intelligence of all Americans, especially those who supported this president. We deserve to know how this happened, who was responsible, and whether it was an innocent mistake or intentional.
