Us boomers aren't miserable. We are living high off the hog on the millennials money they think they deserve.

...... How would that correlate with the Boomer's $68 Trillion?

Your must mean college educated people. Many of whom are saddled with student loan debt.

when researching what commiebastardmarxist millennials were about YOUR GENERATION, the one after the marxis.. uh millennials were said to be just as bad.

Apparently it is due to the education system and social media inflicting it on you two youngest adult generations

One of the pieces I read was that it was derived from canceling people on social media.. something both youngest generations grew up with...

You should seek deprogramming...

The US is so large and diverse both geographically and culturally that such data is kinda meaningless.

Even statewide data is mostly not relevant to determine “class” if that is to be defined by level of comfort and access to items which bring comfort.

A person living in a large city needs more money to be upper class than one in a rural area.

Millennials have never cancelled anyone on social media. This is due to our upbringing. We grew up with video games that made you earn everything (no microtransactions) and creator-driven cartoons that helped us become better people.

Gen Z was doomed the moment Nickelodeon changed their logo and Cartoon Network started airing live-action.

The usage I read about was about how prevalent it was for kids of these generations to round up a cancel effort against someone they didnt like - like someone elese at their schools etc

That was the part that described the z's as similar becaue they are still doing it.

With that said, I agree with your approach, I just don't think minimum wage is a good metric.

It's rough when you're just starting out. Been there, then started over again when skills became unwanted. It happens.

The chart prices don't really apply to me. I built my first house at the end of 1979. High interest rates at that time did make affording even a small house a hardship (thanks Jimmy), so maybe not much different from today.

But we made it - worked second jobs at times - never missed a payment, never missed a meal unless we were trying. Also never vacationed except to visit family in the hill country, but we were okay. Bought our first new vehicle in 2000.

Regarding the chart, I'd like to see more comparisons..such as percentages of payroll taxes and mortgage rates then and now.

Also, I don't believe many had health insurance back then, simply paid the doctor. So that's a huge chunk out of payroll now as well.

Sorry I missed this jewel previously.

Not only is your statement complete horseshite, we actually NEVER had anyone cancelled on social media UNTIL MILLENNIALS started cancelling folks.

Are you not familiar with a malignant cancel gnome named Parag Agrawal or a POS named Zuckerberg? Those millennials run Twitter and Facebook.

Do better!

That statement is worth a discussion.

Two hypothetical hamburger restaurant chains:
One has 3 locations, the other has 3000 locations.

The burger flippers in each of the 3003 basically do the same job, and receive similar reimbursement. The cashiers in each of the 3003 do essentially the same thing, and receive similar reimbursement. The janitorial staff in each of the 3003 do the same thing, and receive similar reimbursement.

The CEO of the 3 location place pulls a 100K/yr salary which is 5X the $10/hr employee's wage. The CEO running 3000 locations gets paid $10 million/yr or 500X the $10/hr employee's wage.

Which CEO is more appropriately paid?
Well, on a per location basis the $10M guy is being paid 10-fold less than the $100K guy. Right?

How is that pertinent to """wage-gap"""??
A burger flipper is a burger flipper. His wage is going to be pretty standard.
The CEO of a rapidly expanding food service company will enjoy wage increases out-stripping the burger flippers compensation.

Marxist-socialists refer to an expanding CEO-BurgerFipper wage gap as problematic. Capitalists refer to compensating the CEO of a rapidly expanding company at an increasingly lower-rate per location as SUCCESS!
