I've said this for years. The people who are having abortions are the very people you don't want to see reproducing.

Also, very telling that so far not one liberal has came in and said jack shite in this thread.

I agree but don't forget that POTUS Trump came out is support of letting the States have their say on pot.

That's sorta where I was thinking on this thread. For example, it can't be denied that Trump effectively ended gay marriage as a topic among Republicans. That fight is over and only a few really far right loons want to go back there.

Drugs, prostitution, religion, abortion are all losing arguments for GOP going forward.

Its been well covered by political scientist that the fringes on the left and right start to bend towards one another.

Can I get some examples of the fringe left bending towards the middle?

Consider myself conservative.

the war on drugs
a rising wave of anti-intellectualism
disregard for our wild places by many on our side
a real lack of trying to sell our ideals to youth

They don't bend to the middle so much as they both bend towards authoritarianism on the fringes.

I’m moderate so I don’t have a “side” but I can say I hate the left’s position on illegal immigration and the right’s opposition to freedom from religion.

Odd , isn't it, that no liberal has chimed in yet

"hey I'm a liberal, but this idea of sanctuary cities is ridiculous"

or

"I'm a liberal, but come on, you're either born a male or a female and that's what you are, except in very very rare medical circumstances"

or

"Hey, I'm a liberal, but stats prove that less than 3% of ALL officer involved shootings are do to a bad cop"

or , well any of the other ridiculous stances the left takes...

Sad........

What church are you being forced to attend by the government?

Learn to read dipshit, you don't have a right to freedom from religion, you have a right to freedom OF religion.

Bingo.

I don't believe in voting, but I couldn't imagine giving any major party my consent or approval - I fundamentally disagree with their worldview and the tools they use to control it.

I'm considered a liberal on this board, and I do not support open borders and my only problem with the death penalty is that it takes, on average, 15 years for the execution to take place.

Also, American Citizens have a constitutional right to own guns.

To be fair, there are very few true "old school" liberals left in the country.

What we have here is resistance fighting progressives.

I detest when self-proclaimed fiscal conservatives bloat budgets all the while claiming they are "scaling back". Biggest joke ever.

has nothing to do with gay marriage...

The conservative view of marriage is that it has always been defined as between a man and a woman. The only reason it became a political issue is because government co-opted the term and it became a legal term.

But I agree wholeheartedly with you view of pot.

I was tossing barbs at the guy who said we had a right to freedom from religion. I merely replied to where you quoted him rather than hunting down his original post.
