My street was under construction for three solid years. They ruined all my gardens and would leave debris and all kinds of shite all over my property. For three years. I would try to get firm dates on when it would finish, or when parts of it would finish and could never get anywhere.
But I'm nothing if not tenacious. I kept annoying people and ended up getting the acting director of the Sewerage & Water Board's cell phone number. She was very nice and responsive. Joe somebody was the Construction Czar at the time and he came to the house and had a meeting with me and my neighbors. He gave me his number, too.
I honestly don't think all the noise I made sped anything up but the construction did ultimately finish and no one has chased me out of the city yet.
After the construction company left a broken road closed sign in my yard for months, I posted it in the Tulane Classifieds buy/sell fb group. @Lookatthisfrickingstreet took a screenshot of my post and posted it on their insta page. It was funny and someone actually did come pick up the sign after they saw the post.

Notice the wording: "Landry". It's not "the Governor's office" nor "the Department of Administration," just Landry himself. This only makes sense as it could be seen as inappropriate for him to be engaging with them while they are being investigated by the AG's office.
They can still work with the administration during this, but their own actions are why he isn't speaking with them directly. They have only themselves to blame.
