There is a local deputy walking around the entrance to Augusta National with an M4 rifle

assault rifle. With his hands at the ready position on the gun.
Am I wrong to think this local leo is just wanting to play soldier and walk around with his taxpayer purchased toy?

I believe it is legal to open carry a rifle or a shotgun in Georgia. Not sure about the limits on rounds in magazine though.
