It will force 1 of 2 things.

1- the people of NY and CA to move.... that means liberals invade red states with the same stupid voting habits.

2- the people stay and vote for people who will adapt.

Due to number 1, I doubt that they will follow plan 2.

This is really how our republic is supposed to work. Vote with your feet. The federal government should not be subsidizing socialism in the states w/ tax breaks. The states should compete to see who does the best job of providing a fertile environment for its citizens. If social programs mean more to you than higher taxes, stay; if not, move. simple as that.

CA will soon have a mileage tax. That alone will make people hate living there when they have a choice.
Can you imagine paying taxes to drive AFTER paying all the fuel taxes that are supposed to take care of all driving related infastructure?

True, it’s the populated coastal counties/cities that swing it blue

There's nothing good about the bill, other than the fact that if it passes the Republicans will get shellacqued in the 2018 midterms and become a minority party for eternity.

Nobel prize winning economist Paul Krugman just said to Stephanopoulos on This Week that the bill is a "nightmare" which will hurt the Middle Class and not grow the economy.

Ah yes, the "John Maynard Keynes for Idiots". Keep in mind, this was a man who blamed everything on Enron's collapse, including consultants, while failing to disclose he was a consultant for Enron.

That sort of talk doesn't anger me. It's code talk against pointing out what's the current political reality.

The Republicans will lose in 2018, and lose BIG. Anyone who believes otherwise is delusional. Matthew Dowd (a former REPUBLICAN strategist) correctly attributed Roy Moore's recent defeat not on any sexual allegations, or even Moore himself, but on Donald Trump and his policies.

Republicans have a serious Donald Trump problem.

Was gonna watch that until I saw they had Krugman as one of their 'famous ecoomists'

Has Krugman ever be right about anything at all ??? anything?? Hell - he cannot even analyze what has already happened - he sure as hell cannot predict what "will" happen.

How the hell did he ever get a Pulitzer?? same way that algore and obama got them??

If I were an investor, I would take whatever Krugman says and find a way to bet on the opposite happening.

The law of averages suggest he should actually be right on occasion if he were merely incompetent rather than an ideologue.
