Sadly, actually believing that this is prevalent in one party over the other only plays into the hands of the establishment that controls them both.

You are wrong. CLEARLY one party has more members who want to destroy America more than the other. Yes there are a lot of establishment republicans, but not ALL of them are. And Trump is certainly not establishment. And voting for an estab Repub in the midterms is better than voting for an open borders dem who encourages the violence of antifa and blm. Many of these Dems support sanctuary cities and votes cast by illegal immigrants. You know good and well that one side is more destructive to America than the other.

It's also why nothing ever changes in this country; the establishment marches on with its agenda, while the useful idiots fight over which "side" is at fault.

This was the case until 2016. Trump was nominated and then elected precisely because he was NOT establishment.

We aren’t all idiots. We are basically given 2 candidates & We have to vote for one, so you have to argue which is the better choice.

How on Earth would you POSSIBLY know what Hillary wanted, let alone how she intended to pay for them? She spent literally the entire campaign doing nothing but screaming about how terrible and awful Trump was. It was TRUMP who talked policy during the campaign not Hillary. I bet you can't find a single clip or quote of her actually describing how she would pay for anything during her campaign. I mean obviously we instinctively know that a Democrat President would have championed raising taxes, but that sure the hell doesn't equate to "explained how she would pay for the programs she wanted" I am so sick of dumb people.

Both candidates did exactly what you just explained. Trump spent 99% of his time attacking Hillary, so you had to ignore the BS and only pay attention to the 5 minutes that each candidate spent talking policy. It was possible to understand each candidate's platform if you did research instead of just tuning in to CNN or Fox every night.

I'm for Trump but if there is one criticism I have, it is making the Keebler Elf AG. Civil Asset Forfeiture is a travesty and I oppose it regardless of who is in the White House. Other than that, the train is chugging along nicely.

Not really

But i get it if you couldn’t bring yourself to vote for trump nor Hillary, then your only option would be to vote for a third party which was basically throwing away your vote since that party had no chance. I’m not saying that snarkily even though it sounds that way. I could see myself being backed into a corner and doing the same thing. If i knew in the voting booth what i know now about McCain, i would have voted third party. I was really really young and didn’t do my research though.

Yes I did. I believe her economic strategy was better than Trump's simply because she had a plan to pay for what she was proposing.

I missed that in the debates.....

I full well knew that Gary Johnson didn't have a chance at winning , that isn't why I voted third party. For me it boiled down to this, NO WAY was I voting for Hillary Clinton, she is everything that is wrong with politics in this country, let alone her being a Democrat. And with Trump I just couldn't give my vote to him after some of the things he said and did while on the campaign trail. He simply isn't Presidential as I would like to see a President be (not that the last guy was either) and so I used by vote to help support a third party option for the future, no third party will be viable until they get those matching funds, and that doesn't happen without enough votes.

If, however, there would have been any chance that Hillary would have won Arkansas I would most definitely have voted for Trump.

Yes, really. You know that you can vote for anyone, right?

There's no such thing as "throwing away your vote." My vote counted the same as your vote. I voted for who I thought should be President, not for whoever was "not Hillary." That mentality is dangerous, and it needs to stop.

Why do we Republicans like deficits so much
We should demand Trump get the budget in line
Spend less take in more. Sell signage on his wall
to sponsor it or dont build it. Lets be pro business by running it like a business for a change

I wish he’d tweet less and focus more on the agenda vs what the media says about him.

He is also showing that Obama (voted against him twice) totally crippled the US economy with needless red tape.

How do you possibly reconcile these two things in your head. You admit that Trump is bettering the country in one breath, and then say he only cares about himself in the other. Do you think Trump is more or less narcissistic than President Obama? I would say Trump is simply more vocal.

Please explain. The 2nd Amendment is already in place. What do you want him to do?

For starters, I'd like to see him support it. I quoted some of his thoughts about it above. I'm not a fan of those comments. No Second Amendment supporter should be OK with his ideas.

As far as what I'd like him to do...let's start with removing some of the ridiculous restrictions currently in place on the Second Amendment. That's not unique to Trump, but the thread is asking what I don't like about him. That's my biggest problem with Trump. He talks tough on the Second Amendment, but does nothing, or even worse, he makes comments about "taking their guns."

When has Trump ever been self deprecating?
Trump has executive time everyday to follow himself on TV
Trump has no friends everyone in his life is totally transactional.
Trump tweets when its quiet (weekend mornings) so he is talked about more.
Trump derides subordinates, Generals, cabinet peeps and people who try to explain things to him.
He reminds me a lot of George Stienbrenner a success in spit e of himself
