Wow, where was this? It could be that the moisture levels in his beans are too high and he can't get any place to take them

For mentally healthy citizens I don't support any federal 2A restrictions

we locked our price in the day after China announced that they were relenting on their soybean war. China uses 75% of the soybeans in the world. The US grows over 1/2 the soybeans in the world. There was no way China was going to win that fight

My gripes would be, in order:

Spending is a major problem
Failure to lead an Obamacare repeal
Tariffs, kinda

The first swipe at the ACA was still while there were a lot of NeverTrumpers who had not yet seen that Trump's economic and international dealings could indeed lead to more prosperity. I believe if such a vote were to be called today he would have little problem in getting it passed. A lot of the blame for that initial failing I put on McCain though.

Even though a straight repeal didn't happen he was able to essentially defund it with the tax package, so I mark it down as more of "a work in progress" than a win or loss.

I am okay with the tariffs. There are two ways to look at it: play the short game to end up basically keeping the status quo or play the long game for larger and longer term benefits. I am looking at it as the latter.

With that, there are definitely going to be problems and pains as the Chinese try to wait us out. People will lose their jobs and for some that is simply unacceptable. I see the long-term gains as being far too important to let short-term growth pains scare us from them.

We're on the same level on spending. I have been saying for the past few months that I hope Trump makes cutting spending a primary focus in the next year (and keeps it all the way through his second term).

Sure, I'll play. for what it's worth, I am probably best described as a more traditional right-of-center Republican who is more interested in economics and liberty-driven concerns that social issues.

His ethanol endorsement of the just the other day is the worst policy I have seen from this president and it's not close. Ethanol is bad for many engines, the subsidies are terrible economic and environmental policy, and there is the moral concern of burning food as fuel. Just dreadful. The so-called "Muslim ban" was dumb but was quickly remedied and did little harm. I don't mind him trying to secure better trade deals, but he is too comfortable with the protectionist's approach of picking winning and losers--I loved it when he was touting free trade and beating on other nations for not being free. Finally, the border detentions were bad and provided some really bad optics. Otherwise, this very skeptical non-Trump voter is quite pleased with the policies from the White House while still having reservations about the man it. I cannot believe that I am saying this, but I could cast a vote for Trump in 2020.

No, he said it is because there is literally no where to take them. All elevators and storage facilities are full.

I can respect your opinions. They have substance and aren’t just “he’s a Nazi!”

But I’m curious, do you think voting dem will make America better? It’s clear the majority of them want open borders and are moving towards socialism. It’s clear their plan is divide and conquer. It’s clear they support propaganda as a tactic to manipulate and brainwash the people. It’s clear they have no problem with breaking laws and looking the other way when it suits them. It’s clear they attempted to overthrow the 2016 election. It’s clear they lie and then project all of their misdeeds and crimes onto the opposing party. It’s clear they care more about letting men into girls’ bathrooms and letting unchecked Muslims into the country more than the safety of Americans. It’s clear they want to do away with the second amendment.

With all that being said, do you not agree that voting red is the better choice regardless of your concerns with some of Pres Trump’s policies you take issue with?

sounds like he drew the awful short straw of being screwed by the weather. His fields stayed too wet for too long while others were cutting and selling. It's a huge gamble farmers play

then he did not contact his beans... he still played the game between contracting and not contracting... don't worry though, the government will be along to bail his dumbass out just like all the other welfare queens...

This is so frustrating. I know there are smart Dems out there, but I just don't know how or WHY!

Case in point.

I have 2 friends that are liberals.... and they are both very smart..... yet they don't educate themselves on any topics, and simply smash the blue lever.

Now, I just have to say, of these two friends, one is divorced and unhappy, with no promising career future. The other is married to a loud mouthed feminist...who looks the part.... He is not happy, and his kids are fricking TERRIBLE brats.

Just sayin....

Nope, not falling for it again.

"They" said the same thing about Bigfoot, Les' secret playbook, Giles is uncoverable/Shelvin is unblockable, and Travonte Valentine simply exists.

The bottom line to the OP is this.

The "smart" Democrats who could make rational arguments and maybe even work with Republicans on a few issues have been scared into silence and or outright compliance by the mob mentality of the lunatic left.

I mean look no further than the Kavanaugh debacle. Does anyone here doubt that there were quite a few Democrats out there who were thinking "wait a minute, a woman can just destroy a man's reputation like that ?" Of course there are/were, but if they speak out they will get the same treatment, or worse.

Why is it so difficult for a Trumpette to address Trump’s perceived failings in a standalone manner, rather than by comparison to the Dems?
Beacause POTUS does not exist in a vacuum idiot. It was an either or situation, always will be for elected officials. Either this person/party or that one. Only 2 alternatives.

The alternative to Trump, his faults and all, far exceed the depths of depravity of Hell holes like Somalia, Afghanistan, and the warring African Tribal Leaders. At least so far this POTUS doesn't kill US Citizens kids.
Perhaps you did not bother to read the OP. The question was NOT “why did you vote for Trump or why did you not.” The question was not “do you like trump or HRC better?”

The question, to use your term, was asked in a “vacuum.” The question was, in essence, “why do you not like Trump?”

It is almost as if you KNOW that Trump is “so bad” that the only way to justify his existence is by comparison to HRC.

I just wonder what issues bother people the most from the 1st 2 years of this term. I understand that some will just never like the guy on a personal level.
I've been glad to see that spending is a main issue for the people who have responded

Holy fricking circle jerk.

Trump is exactly the President I thought he would be. Essentially, more of the same. Spending is still out of control. We still have the ACA. Very little has changed.

But muh Supreme Court, because a competent Republican couldn't have done exactly what Trump has done...

He's also weak AF on the Second Amendment, which is probably my biggest complaint about him.
