If Obama and Clinton had nothing to do with it, what exactly did they do that was worth a shite?

To echo slackster a bit, I would want you to define what it means to oppose Trump. Does it mean intentional obstruction of anything he does purely as a form of opposition, or is being at all critical of him and his policies sufficient to be considered an opponent?

Not necessarily obstructionist, but more than just critical. What bothers a person enough to make them vote against Trump in 2020?

Oh bullshite… He responded with the "feels"... No one attacked the disagreements on the spending or other legitimate gripes brought up...

If someone's ONLY complaint about a POTUS is "I don't trust him", then they have absolutely no substance at all...

What measurables bother you the most about the first 2 years of the Trump Presidency?

i don't think Trump has been the worst President in the history of the world, for example the right to try bill is a good thing.

That said:

#1 I don't think economic shortermism via pilling on the debt and the deficit is a good thing for our country long term. One of Obama's biggest failures was in 2008 he ran on getting the deficit under control and then immediately went the other way we he got into office. Trump has actually made this worse incredibly.

#2 I don't think Trump's challenge to NATO or the post-1945 attempt to organize the world around collective security, free trade, open societies, non-zero-sum diplomacy, and multicultural democracies is well thought through. While I don't think the post WW2 order should continue into infinity just because, and maybe some aspects are outdated, it at least appears that Trump more admires the eastern European strongman approach, which has proven to be worse in literally every way.

#3 While the democrats didn't necessarily handle it the right way themselves, ramming through a partisan activist justice to tSCOTUS with only 51 votes is problematic for the country on a lot of levels.

#4 His environmental policy is a disaster, and not just for climate change reasons. For example: LINK

#5 John Bolton

That's just off the top of my head, i'm sure i could come up with way more.

The irony of a request for an “intelligent” discussion involving anyone that actually supports the lunacy of the left, progressive world.

I can’t automatically accept that people that support Clinton, Obama, Warren, Booker, Harris, Schumer, Pelosi, Durbin, Blumenthal, etc. are “intelligent”. I would otherwise characterize them as “emotional”, “radical” or “misguided.”

That’s the problem with your question. Perhaps there are libertarians and misguided nevertrumpers that can properly discuss policy, but not a left progressive supporter. It’s all or nothing for that crowd.

This is the essence of the Capitalist Ideology; that acting in self-interest essentially benefits the Collective. Trump being a Narcissist and serving the positive interest of our Nation, are not mutually-exclusive. Same with (true) Religion/Religious Principles...do the right thing and you get good karma in the next life. Of course - given the Gospel of Love/Mercy - simply doing the right thing for personal prosperity, falls short of the essential 'prime directive' of Jesus' Gospel. Love being that PD.

Gee I can't imagine why political discourse in this country is where it is when we have people literally saying the other team is wholly incapable of intelligent thought or discussion

Ah, the simplistic worldview that anyone who fails to worship GEOTUS simply MUST be a Leftist lunatic.

Nope.

There are no longer intelligent people who oppose our modern day Samson. There are no longer moral religious people who oppose our modern day Samson.

100% of the people who do today are leftists and globalists.

As far as the deficit, the place where that could have been corrected is a back during Bush Jr's presidency. He failed to do it. Obama made it worse. The only thing that is left is the exact timing and rapidity of the devaluation and default.

Trump is spending money like a drunk sailor
He will never balance the budget--never balanced his business budgets and he wont do the govt.

He's not that wealthy that's why he hides his worth from you. Most the things with his name on them are licensing deals and the real owners would love to get out of them.

They dont want his stink on them.

I can buy your #1 and #2 to a degree, even though I disagree with you, your arguments seem plausible..

#3 is your opinion and based on the feels. Kinda like where you stood on pushing legislation through without reading a few years ago, I am sure...

#4 There is no proof to this statement, absolutely none.

#5 Never been a fan of John Bolton

While I can agree with your other points (especially Bolton...hate that dude), this one is laughable.

Especially when you consider how many Republicans voted for RBG, Sotomayor, and Kagan. All three who are extremely partisan.

This is a perfect example of why I don't take this board seriously. If you don't lick Trump's boots, you're a part of the "lunacy of the left."

Spoiler Alert: You don't have to be "left" to oppose Trump.
