That lady is as right as she is beautiful. We need more women like her. She should be every woman's ideal of how they should look and behave. Yes sir

Are they not there to prevent recess appointments? Just set this for a vote while they do the other bs.

No. Totally different.

Please explain what they are doing
Thanks

Sorry I missed this yesterday.
They are holding pro forma sessions to prevent recess appointments. Pro forma sessions involve one Senator gaveling in for a minute or so every three days to technically keep the Senate in session. Meanwhile, the other 99 members are out of town. Any actual Senate business requires a quorum.

How long does Trump need them out before he can start with Recess Appointments?

If it's less than 2 weeks, and Thune doesnt get shady with resetting thr clock, then let them stay away.

If Thune does get petty and resets, then do whatever it takes to force them back up.

Sometimes they use pro forma sessions to avoid recess appointments. A few Senators and House members stay in DC and hold the pro forma sessions in the House and/or Senate where no official business or votes taken are done. But because someone came out banged the gavel to open and close a day of a business, this is enough to where courts say the House or Senate was in session and the President cannot make recess appointments.

Republicans did this with Obama, and I think Jeff Landry one day was the designated speaker and got to bang the gavel for a pro forma session when he was in the House.

Yeah I get that. The Thune doing shady stuff part. One thing is the opposing party doing it to the president, but his own party is straight up despicable.

I'm wondering how much time away without the pro forma sessions does Trump need to allow him the recess appointments.

They don’t work for us. Trump and his cabinet are the only ones who get things done.

And it will get much worse when the Dems control the House.

We have to vote to make sure there is no Speaker Hakeem. He is dumb as a box of hammers and barely makes it as temu Obama.

On this issue ever resolving...I happen to catch Speaker Peabody Johnson on the fox and friends sofa...

So fluff and BS goes on...

Human aged ken doll Thune is worth less..

Would have made more sense to lean on Johnson/Thune before they left. It's just theater now.

They have done as much damage to Trump's agenda as any Democrat.

A senator, Cassidy, from Louisiana, was just on Fox Business talking with Maria, and he just said that this senate has appointed more people than ever before. I think he reads PT.

PS. And now for something completely different(?), or is it? Why is Wells Fargo CEO on fox biz, AND Chase CEO on fox and friends at the same time this morning?
