Gotta cancel the parades they
didn’t want to have….while telling folk to turn off the AC.

I just love the juxtaposition.

Nobody's telling anyone in this country to turn off the AC. Is 78° thermostat setting really that big a sacrifice in this heat?

Heck, I got mine sitting on 86°! Before you go *gasp*, that's still about 2 degrees cooler than the highest allowed temp in prisons everywhere in the the Lone Star State, with its famously hot summers

Equals
“Nobody is telling you not to own a gun, you just cannot have the guns we do t want you to have.”

It’s the same, every time, with you.

No one is being forced to set the thermostat to 78

It's a recommendation to save energy and reduce strain on the grid

Most people won't follow the recommendation

Ironically you're melting about it

Good for you, virtue signaling that you’re choosing to sit in temps just below what prisoners sit in.

That’s the great thing about America, you have choices. My wife (no pics) keeps setting the damn thermostat at 67 because of menopause.

I had set mine to 78 yesterday. But I have these things called oak trees shading my house. With it being overcast yesterday it was kind of cold in my house.

Heck, I got mine sitting on 86°!

I would gladly put my thermostat on 86 to save our planet from global warming. But my British Pointer will bite me if I set it above 68.

I don't melt over climate change and don't suggest that anyone changes their lives over it. I don't think the government should really do much about it either. I don't think it's healthy to pretend it isn't happening though.

Not yet, but you and I both know that this is one of the first steps for government to regulate our AC and energy consumption. It’s the first step to governors on home electricity meters.

You have achieved nothing but showing these politicians and energy execs that people like you will swallow their commands.

Good, keep yours at 86 and it’ll offset mine being at 70.
