Most calls include a note-taker or two, no different than face to face meetings. It sounds like their problem was the note taker leaked the conversation.
i use signal as well, i can't imagine letting someone i didnt know into the couple of group chats i'm on. that has to be addressed; that shouldn't be difficult to police.

Hate this. Whoever it was high or low should be out on blast.

Signal is probably more secure than whatever the people who have been trying to coup and kill Trump for a decade provide to him and his cabinet.
The vulnerability is if a spouse or "low level staffer" gains access to the device.
Waltz should still be immediately fired for being a fricking retard who allowed a "low level staffer" to set up a group with the god damn directors of CIA, FBI, DNI, DoD, State, VP and Editor of The Atlantic.

Whoever the staffer is should be fired. This is not a mistake you can make. Also we must ask why a staffer has Goldberg on his phone. Obviously he wanted to leak to him.

It's still stupid if peons could add attendees or forward calls / texts / meeting invitations.
I imagine that has been fixed?

It's ridiculous and reckless.
This had to be intentional, right? There should be arrests, but that would be stoking the fire.

Honest question, when you have called three times, have been put on hold yet again for thirty minutes.....and you hear the click of an actual person answering, and it says "this call is being monitored for security reasons"..........Do you hang up
There are always people on the calls, they are supposed to be discreet and trustworthy.
And for the rest of you clowns, do you not believe anything anymore, or is it you believe everything the left feeds you. Loosen up Sandra, its a long 12 years.

Goldberg wasnt on the call, the staffer gave him the information.
Guys, when someone enters the call you are notified and Im certain the caller id as well. He wasnt just added to the conference call.

This is too rational for some people. One little thing goes wrong or doesn't happen when we want it to and this same group goes completely apoplectic. Every little problem is the end of the world and proof that nothing will ever change to them. This board is full of soft people who can't handle adversity.

A senior administration official told POLITICO on Monday afternoon that they are involved in multiple text threads with other administration staffers on what to do with Waltz, following the bombshell report that the top aide inadvertently included Atlantic editor in chief Jeffrey Goldberg in a private chat discussing a military strike on Houthis.
“Half of them saying he’s never going to survive or shouldn’t survive,” said the official, who like others was granted anonymity to discuss internal deliberation. And two high-level White House aides have floated the idea that Waltz should resign in order to prevent the president from being put in a “bad position.”
“It was reckless not to check who was on the thread. It was reckless to be having that conversation on Signal. You can’t have recklessness as the national security adviser,” the official said.
A person close to the White House was even more blunt: “Everyone in the White House can agree on one thing: Mike Waltz is a fricking idiot.”

Defense hawks’ criticism of the incident is particularly noteworthy given their perception that Waltz is their guy in the administration, a sympathetic ear in a White House dominated by “America First” isolationists.
Still, the person close to the White House who dubbed Waltz a “fricking idiot,” didn’t expect any widespread repercussions from the incident.
“I don’t think there are any longterm political consequences for Trump or the Administration, outside of this potentially costing Waltz his job,” the person said.
But many Republicans on the Hill are hoping Waltz survives. Indeed, while GOP lawmakers privately said they believed some White House official would have to take the blame, House Republicans in particular have defended their former colleague Waltz.
Speaker Mike Johnson told POLITICO that Waltz should “absolutely not” resign.
“He’s exceptionally qualified for the job. He is trusted — trustworthy,” Johnson said. “He was made for that job, and I have full confidence in him.”
