Seemed the only focus of the argument here was the idea of this relatively lengthy sentence. Y

But the sentence isn't just for the trespassing (or even the rioting outside). It's bout the interference with the session.

This is arguing in support of the lengthy sentence.

Everyone else (but you) claim its excessive. Then you proceed to show why you don't think its excessive, while pretending you don't support the lengthy sentence.

No one is convinced. We get it. You think it was severe and worthy of a longer sentence.

While I 100% believe the US government is guilty of abuse of power in the Jan. 6 "Washington Witch Trials"

Everyone who entered the capital (Who was not a Government plant) should have understood that they were going to be drawing the ire of a tyrannical government looking to make examples out of those that do not fall in line with their way of thinking. The 4 years prior to Jan. 6th showed in crystal clear terms that the liberal party would and could use every agency at it's disposal to target and attack it's "enemy's".

I think it's a tragedy but it should not be a surprise to anyone, least of all those who chose to put themselves in that very situation.

Conservatives need to wake up and realize you're playing on the liberals court, with the liberals ball and by the liberals rules.

And they don't care about what you think is right or wrong or fair or unfair.

Period.

No it's not. It's distinguishing the actual conviction (interfering w Congress, a felony) with the projection (trespassing, a minor misdemeanor) that was posted.

Absolutely. The best idea would have been to stay as far away from DC to protest as possible.

The federal facilities there are literally a police "state."

Well, they know now. I think the right is mostly just going to stay home from now on, although Rittenhouse getting convicted is one thing that could light a powderkeg. The media and left is going to have to milk this until the end of time as everyone expects fed infiltration and unfair punishment over these things. I just wish Trump had been smarter than to take the bait.

He's lucky he didn't get more than 41 months....never forget, he was warned to stay inside the velvet ropes by Capitol police and he disobeyed when he had to use the restroom.

It fed his ego, which is his Achilles.

Prog elitist think the halls of congress are sacred, and congressmen should have uber protection and I totally disagree.

My idea would be to abandoned DC, make Congresspeople serve remotely from home districts on tiny budgets.

Wrong.

It's not about staying home or staying far away. They need to be there they need to protest, but they NEED to know where the lines are and don't cross them.

The left gambled that if they got a few dozen or so militants in there and got them to whip up the crown and took the first few step in "storming" the capitol the heard mentality would do the rest.

It worked.

It should be harder next time and people who protest at conservative protest events should be vigilant against "Others" who show up and do not carry the same message, or try to steer the protest in a wrong direction.

Conservative are late to the game on this type of activity, the liberals have been at this since the 60's. There are volumes written by liberal activists on how to destabilize and disrupt. Conservatives should read and study those things if for nothing else to defend against it.

The dude has already served 11 months in prison. You would think that would have been more than sufficient enough.

This is a fricking travesty of justice.

The guy that stabbed a NY city police officer this year is on the street. Let that sink in.

'WE' don't traditionally say JACKSCHIDT.

ONE of us finds a 42 months sentence an absurdity fitting for the authoritarian DEMOCRAT schmucks if they get caught legally with their ELECTION THEFT, at least the l;ittle DEMOCRAT schmucks..

Establishment Republicans are figs.

You can touch little kids and get a lighter sentence than this.
