Iran cannot be allowed to close the straight. What gives them the right to even do this? US should take over the straight to keep it open. Any Iranian interference should be met with full force.

Go look at the long list of dead Iranian leaders. You clowns keep acting like we haven't destroyed their leadership structure that existed the day before we took action. If someone had taken out the exact same government positions in our country, we would have nuked them.

Probably, but to continue would be worse. Constant attacks and retaliation. A colossal waste of munitions and probably manpower. Increased number of terrorist attacks in the region and likely at home. A widening rift between the US and its allies in the region, and in NATO. Continued stasis in the Persian Gulf and the strait of Hormuz, with a disastrous effect on the world economy and that of the US.
