When I was a young man, I remember reading a book by David Wilkerson where he identified America as perhaps being the Harlot of Revelations, the new Babylon. As a young man in the 80’s and idealistically naive I’d say, I could not accept that, but as I’ve grown older and seen what America has become and is fast becoming still, I am warming up to that idea as a very real possibility, especially since everyone always asks where America is in Biblical prophesy.
The mystery is still yet to be fully realized in my estimation, and there are other people who think differently and point elsewhere, but it really fits the description and if so, then that is not a good thing for this country. I really hope I am wrong.

I guess I’m fortunate to live in an area that appear isolated from to some extent. My life hasn’t changed for several years now, so I obviously don’t see or feel the struggle.

Ehhh… we’re the country whose corruption does the most damage. That’s likely the more accurate way to state it.
But calling us the most corrupt country in the world is dumb. They literally executed a presidential candidate in Ecuador two weeks ago. Let’s keep some perspective

I'd say cuba, some south American country, Iran, Iraq type country is much worse.
When a country with the type of world influence gets as corrupt as the US is, it doesn't matter if a smaller country is more corrupt. The exponential impact of the US on the world qualifies America as an evil empire.
