How does this bill lead to an increase in the size of government?
Cut from something Dems care about, reassigned to something Cons care about, also defense budget nearly always growing.

I'm not pissed.
I mean, I'm pissed, but not because the (R) guys voted no on massive spending. I'm pissed because for years, the Establishment Uniparty has built and maintained a massive grifting system that enriches them at the expense of those of us out here breaking our backs and bodies every day.
Cut ALL the pork out of the bill, pass the DOGE cuts, and eliminate tax on tips and overtime while reducing overall spending, and I'll be far less pissed. But, unfortunately, the majority of the clowns on "both sides" of the aisle, are allergic to spending cuts.
We are seriously fricked.

How does this bill lead to an increase in the size of government?
In this case, the tax cuts are offset by 3% anticipated growth. CBO is using 1.8% growth. So by CBO standards the tax cuts (considered spending, not less revenue) are an increase in spending by 1.2% as compared to 0% by the finance committee's calculation.
This is only one of several things, but in this bill it is a biggie because it is centered around extending (and adding) tax cuts.
I think the Build Back Better bill used 6% GDP growth (or was it Inflation Reduction Act?) which is why I use the word 'scam'. When used in moderation it isn't a scam; when using 6% growth to justify spending and call it 'net 0 on deficit' it is a scam.

The problem is no representative is ever going to be in favor of making any real cuts that will impact their communities. Federal spending is spread all over the country in thousands of different ways and no one will ever give up the spending that benefits themselves. Let's look at military spending for example and pick a random military base- Tinker afb in oklahoma, do you really think the congress person for the district that includes that base will ever push for cuts in military spending that will risk the thousands of jobs that base brings to their district?
Its easy to tell everyone else they need to make cuts but no member of congress on either side of the aisle will be in favor of taking away jobs/money from their own constituents.

fricking thank you... Exactly. AND We still have a Congress full of GOPe, who were set up by Turtle and the uniparty to be led in Congress by his GOPe/uniparty protege, Thune. There's a reason Thune is where he is right now. It's protectionism for the GOPe and uniparty. Until we can primary some of the establishment RINOs, we're going to be in the position of having to negotiate with them to some extent to get anything meaningful passed. The fact TDS crybaby dumbfricks here don't understand that is incredible.

So, his four year term is actually only four months? He can't do anything else for the next 3 years and 8 months? fricking idiot.

Dude. It's a FOUR YEAR term, not a FOUR MONTHS to do everything you campaigned on or nothing term. You fricking crybaby bitch.

DOGE never saved the money they claimed.
It will be impossible to reduce the debt
while maintaining the tax cuts in the Big Beautiful Bill. That’s math and fact, not political rhetoric.

They came up with 163 billion in cuts.......then bumped the military to a trillion.
A couple of years back it was 750 billion and the military said there was 100 billion waste so probably 200 billion. That puts you at 550, with inflation it should be about 600 billion not one trillion.
The f-35 cost is now estimated at 2 trillion, nearly 800 billion over cost. I understand they fined rayethon 30 million for that snafu. Thats one heck of a mfking return on investment. And for a jet fighter when the world has moved on to sats and drones.
Musk said they could use AI from concept to production, build them in one place and save a fortune in time and money. Then for some strange reason people started bombing his car lots, nothing to see here, move along.

You very old retard, Doge had no means by which to save money.
They just pointed out fraud, waste and abuse and that’s why you people started destroying dealerships and vandalizing cars.
Congrats on the big win yesterday when one of you people killed two Israelis. Huge victory for you freaks.

The flip flopping tribalism "it's ok if our guy does it" but I don't really care about principles is ridiculous.
Did you expect anything less from tCult? They have zero values or ideology, its all based on Trumps mood of the day

"They" didnt claim anything. Your own media screwed up the narrative.
DOGE is simply an advisory board. If you would stop listening to idiots, you too would know this.
