In all likelihood there won't be this huge collapse or anything that some people seem to expect in NYC.
There are enough budgetary restraints (even for NYC) and guardrails that he can't go whole hog into socialism.
Life there will get moderately to significantly worse for most residents and visitors, but I'm not sure it'll be noticeable enough of a national scale to really move the election needle.
