but we are leaving out the loss of control the UK has had for over a century.

Well, this happened 80 years ago. Maybe that’s why they left it out.

There is almost no way oil skyrockets for any amount of time. Could it go higher than today for a month or so? Yes. Iran can’t last more than another 60-90 days with the blockade.

That's pretty much what I was saying. Oil may rise, but it's short-term pain. Iran cannot hold up for long in the current position they're in.

Agree with the plan by US/Israel or not, there's no doubt that they have played both the military and geopolitical game masterfully against the Iranian regime. There is no feasible outcome right now, other than surrender and capitulation, that results in anything other than their total collapse within the year.

I don't think Iran felt like Trump would play the long game, but obviously they haven't been paying attention to the fact that the US just isn't afraid to keep the money printer going brrrrr nonstop.

The shift has been remarkable.

The USA had been the global leader until Trump was snookered into attacking Iran by Netanyahu. Vance and Rubio tried to stop Trump, but he would not listen to them.

Netanyahu has been telling world leaders that Trump does what he tells him to do….some people think that makes Israel the global leader. I think this will help expose Israel for the world leader in terrorism and will ultimately lead to severe backlash for them.

In the long run, countries like Iran are made more powerful by this. Completely stupid thing for the USA to do.

Not in the middle east though... They've maintained control over the barbaric country of Iran... We are witnessing that change, in real time, as they are being left out.

This was the real reason Lloyds cancelled insurance in The Strait - they were calling the shots.

Their extortion (and monopoly) is ending.

lolol
That is ridiculous. As I've explained on here before, Lloyds is a business that sells a product. The product has a cost associated with it, and the cost is the risk times the possible payout. When the war started the risk shot through the roof. That is why Lloyds canceled the policies. We don't need a conspiracy to explain something that's perfectly fricking obvious.

And as to the theory that Britain was calling the shots in Iran, that is one of the nuttiest things I've ever heard.

Politicians understand two words about the common American voter and they are "six weeks"!

Man I think its more like two weeks these days. The brain can only focus on so much, and social media and 24-7 news are force feeding us so much drama and bs... especially regarding Trump.

Consider Bush in 1992. Half the country was undecided. He was so un-polarizing that the swing was potentially huge. Now Consider Trump. 3/4 of the country either would shoot him or take a bullet for him. The swing is much smaller. It's kind of like Edwin Edwards: " if I'm caught in bed with either a dead girl or a live boy.". We're at the level of polarization where that's already happened metaphorically, the lines are drawn, and the chips are going to fall where they may

T, you might like this. This guy hates the U.S., but says the moves in Venezuela, Iran, and elsewhere are allowing it to dominate world energy markets.
