mad that they let her tell her story because of her past. Several people called him out for gatekeeping and said the Rs are now the tent party. It's an interesting outcome vs the conservative movement of the past that sought to marginalize groups who did not meet their strict social criteria
He deserved the backlash, and I really like him. If the Republican Party, keep excluding people like her because she's an OF how, regardless of the fact that she believes in the ideals of the Party. He's wrong here.
I don't care that she's a hoe, as long as she supports the party's ideas.

That tells me the same thing it always has. I can’t vote D so R is the only choice left.
No preening from whoever these evangelicals are will change it.
The differences between the two parties is too great now.
Once upon a time you could have voted for Carter and felt ok. That’s over.

It takes a lot of social influence from many directions to flip a person. Humans are hardwired to take accepting being wrong as a mortal wound.
The weak are incapable of enduring, that which is to them, mental torment. A strong, secure individual can handle being wrong, even be happy to have learned something. That's why I enjoy saying you're right, im wrong, I learned something.
The weak left are vermin. They show up to make noise and if you calmly approach them with logic and reasoning after their banshee screams, they retreat to their echo chambers aka rat nests. Ive tried many times in many different ways to debate with a feminist, Joe biden diehard, liberal, etc. 100s of times. Ive never found a single outlier who stuck it out with me.
Strong men, easy times, easy times, weak men, weak men, hard times, hard times, strong men. I used to think the internet was a big wrench in the cycle but now, hell, maybe not lol. Humans are gonna find a way to repeat the cycle I suppose.
I'll feel a lot better post election if this is as bad as hard times got. This will either be the worst Christmas ever or the best.

I agree w/ this. No middle ground to be found with them, same as far left types.

The party that talks about personal freedom shouldn’t be upset with what someone decides to do with their body. Can win over many voters by just protecting personal freedom.

I don't know why you're getting downvoted...this is the truth. It's really hard to disagree with lower taxes and increased safety...so why isn't conservatism more popular?? The bible thumping drives people away. Just like tranny bullshite only appeals to a small demographic, bible thumping does the same. The real problem is pandering to the evangelicals is useless...they are going to vote R anyway. Get away from that message and get some new young blood in the party.
Fiscal conservatism, freedom and nothing else.... that's a winning ticket

The pendulum always swings back when one side pushes too far left or right.
100%, the Evangilicals pushed too far socially right and the progressives ran too far left.
Take abortion for instance, Evangilicals want it almost fully banned and the progressives want no restrictions at all. Neither side is a mass winning idea. Even something less devisive would be the Evangilicals push to keep marijuana illegal is a loser.
That wing of the RNC doesn't truly believe in freedom, they believe their morals should dictate national policy as much as the progressives.

How do you vet that? Who sets the standard of what is and isn't an acceptable level of sincerity?
Everyone has to judge for themselves, only time will tell who is correct.

I just want to let y'all in on a little known secret.
It's not the evangelicals, but the traditional catholics who pull the strings in right wing politics.

It matters, but it's like who made a better flag for the American Revolution.
It's always been a side show.
The once-happy and peaceful plains of America are either to be drenched in blood or inhabited by slaves. George Washington.

As long as you keep the Evangelicals away, yes.
For a time. Then they'll overplay their hand and the DEMs will look how the GOP looks now. Wash, rinse, and repeat.
Dude, you gotta get over this. I'm not even sure Evangelicals as a whole are right of center anymore.
