What would say are the odds that some of these defendants own assets located in France? I would say high. And they definitely generate income there regularly.

No legal expert, but if this suit goes forward, I would think Imane Khelif would ultimately have to put forth evidence that fully supports she is a woman to prove her claim.
This isn’t a transgender “identification” issue, this is an XX (female) versus XY (male) chromosome birth issue. Apparently, there are multiple variations involving people born with the Y that technically make them male or allow to classify as female, but still possess the Y.

You are OK with dudes beating up on women if it means the USA wins the medal count?
I’m 100% ok with men beating up women in sports
Women approve of it so why should I care

Oh please tell me how my values are impacted at all by an Algerian suing people in French court.

My comments to anonymous people on message board doesn’t cause any harm to your reputations. If that person really isn’t biological male Rowling, Musk and others maliciously or recklessly caused a lot of harm to them. Do you know what libel and defamation are? Free speech doesn’t protect you from those claims.
Well, you are an idiot.
Can you point out the libelous speech?
You know this person was banned by the world federation, right. Any idea why?

Tied with China on the only medal that counts: gold.

If that person really isn’t biological male
There appears no dispute this individual carries a Y-chromosome.
Are you under a different impression?
Culturally in the past, if external male genitalia were ambiguous, missing, or accidentally amputated the infant was virtually universally raised as female, perhaps with no personal awareness of biological status. In a 3rd world muslim country there is virtual certainty of that pattern.
Nonetheless, XY status is highly relevant to physical traits, capacity, strength and coordination. Biological males should be disallowed from female physical competitions regardless of their personal "gender identification." The is not just an issue of fairness. It is an issue of safety.
You come across as either relatively unaware (being kind) or a 10-post troll alter (more likely), but examples of danger in such male-female instances abound in sports.
In NC, a bio-male was allowed on a HS female volleyball team. He proceeded to spike a ball against an opponent, knocking her unconscious, and leaving her with TBI and partial R-sided paralysis.
In Massachusetts, a bio-male was allowed on a female HS field hockey team. During one game, he fired a shot into a girl's face resulting in facial fractures, loss of multiple teeth, severe laceration, and permanent facial deformity.
There is no excuse for that crap. None!
Your woke political correctness notwithstanding, I'm not sure there is a better example of such life-changing risk than with female boxing.

Has there been confirmed proof that Imane possesses male chromosomes? It seems like these allegations are based on rumors.

So the story is she failed the chromosome test, was allowed to compete, beat an undefeated Russian and then was stripped of her medal because she failed the test? And no one thinks that’s suspect at all?

quote:No.
So the story is she failed the chromosome test
The 'story' is NO ONE IN THE ENTIRE WORLD PRESS is asking Khelif or the Coach or the Olympic Committee if the XY story is true. The 'story' is NO ONE IN THE ENTIRE WORLD PRESS is asking relevant questions about Khelif's testosterone levels.
THAT is the story.
The real 'story' is the press running interference rather than actually doing its job, and running interference so effectively that you feel compelled to disregard the issue as "rumor," rather than a threat to women's safety.

What if one takes away an opportunity from your daughter? Will your mind change then?
Where's the line for you?
That seems like a pretty bright line.
If this was your child would you support taking away an opportunity to complete in sports, or making her complete against boys?
That said, suing people for commenting is a bitch move and typical of these types trying to censor people with different views from their own.

Maybe we'll finally get a legal definition of a woman out of this.

It means that despite not being French if you post wrong think you can be sued and or prosecuted by other nations which no longer have any form of free speech and actively prosecute those who say something they don’t like.

Would the IBA's gender testing be part of the discovery? If it's shown in court that a third party boxing authority tested and discovered elevated testosterone and a Y chromosome, wouldn't that essentially kill the case?

Maybe but those nations don’t care what someone’s birth gender was.
