As a general rule, funding drives lose steam fairly quickly and drop to a trickle, but we’ll see if this can be sustained over any substantial period of time.

It grew something like 8 million yesterday in 7 hours as it hit social media, got airtime on CNN, was talked about on Fox News. After that, in 24 hours it has increased like 2 million... It's already on a downward trend. I wouldn't get your hopes up

In theory the most fanatical and enthusiastic have already hit. You likely see it keep growing for awhile but how many do you think deliberate for 10 days before making a big gift? It’s got to get slim pretty quick. Maybe some word of mouth through the holidays, or folks that are cash strapped getting a post holiday check? But what’s the stat on Americans living with no savings at all? Most can’t donate even if they want

They have paid real money. GFM holds the money until it is claimed. Yes, it goes to him, unless he designates someone else as the designee.

Federal law is Byzantine and arcane, but I can’t think of any reason why not.
