re: The national debt will be $100 trillion in less than a decade

Internally, this will cause unrest as it erodes the middle class. Welfare recipients will continue to have buying power due to their increased benefits. Workers will continue to feel the pinch, but their numbers are increasingly diminished. The elite will continue to feel no impact because costs are passed to the subsidized government consumer and not the middle class.
Google says:
quote:
On average, Americans actually have more overall buying power today than they did 50 to 70 years ago, because wages have generally grown faster than overall inflation.
General Purchasing PowerOverall Growth: Studies show that inflation-adjusted median purchasing power rose significantly—by over 70%—over the last half-century.
Cheaper Goods: Many everyday consumer items, electronics, clothing, and even gas cost less today relative to average incomes than they did decades ago.
The Dollar's Value: While individual currency has lost value due to cumulative inflation over the decades, median earnings have scaled up to outpace that loss on average
There are really only three expenses that have blown up in the last 60 or so years. Houses, health care, and college tuition.
However, that's not stopping people from consuming them and still having more disposable income left over than people used to—by a lot! Google says the median was 2.5-3 times more.
Home ownership rates are virtually the same (64% back then vs 65% now).
7% of Americans had college degrees 70 years ago vs over 38% today.
And people spend 3.7 times more on health care than they used to 70 years ago.
Aaaaaannnnnddd STILL have that much more disposable income left over. (And those are median numbers).
The narrative that the middle class is "shrinking" and the "Elites" are draining the rest of the country dry is a recycled leftist narrative from roughly 30 years ago. It's not true, and the simple facts bear that out.
Stop being a populist. It's bad for your digestion.

Trillion ... unfortunately
Thanks, I’ll fix that. Point remains $100 trillion in less than 10 years is a gross exaggeration of a reality that is bad enough without exaggerating.

Trump is set to add more than Obama and Biden combined. But it’s democrats who are doing this? Make it make sense.
It makes sense because the real culprits are the voters. We will severely punish anyone who does anything to try to bring the budget within balance.

How do you know? Outside of maybe Ron Paul a generation ago, no one has tried.
Al Democrats, and most Republicans in 2016 said “you can’t campaign on deporting people who’ve broken into the country, you’ll get slaughtered”. How’d that turn out?

You kind of answered your question
Just look at the vitriol from professed "conservatives" for people like Justin Amash, Rand Paul and Thomas Massie in the MAGA era
Professed "conservatives" celebrated and pounded their chests when Massie was ousted for a big-spending MAGA replacement
And, the fact that there are only 5-10 truly fiscal conservative options elected to national positions the past 10-15 years is the proof in the pudding. No one has tried because voters refuse to support those who run on true fiscal conservatism and celebrate when they are removed from office and replaced by big-spending options.

You think Masshole was launched cause he was trying to stop spending?
When is that dipshite going to name names like he promised

Because Newt Gingrich developed The Contract with America, which included a balanced budget. He delivered on it, and was slaughtered.

Did you miss all the "he didn't do anything" and "he opposed Trump ('s spending)" talking points?
Both were directly related to fiscal conservatism and decreasing the size of government.

So thats a yes
What happened to naming the names like he promised

Neither did you
Yes I did, by directing you to actually relevant points, which you avoided like the plague (for obvious reasons)
The answer to your question lies in you answering my question. That reveals the important, relevant parts of the discussion.
There's no value in chasing down your irrelevant rabbit that you're attempting to divert the conversation with. I'm focusing on the relevant, important parts.

While it seems unlikely that you are correct, well because anything coming from you generally is incorrect, you aren’t exactly wrong but it’s why that is correct that matters. After Obama’s Hope & Change that added 10 trillion Trump was able to start getting things up and running in the right directions until they took a virus and released it upon the world to shut things down unlike anything else we ever seen. The actions were so harsh worldwide that not only reversed Trump’s goals but the debt was added greatly. Then we got Biden along with his advisors running the country into the ground probably worse than Wilson,Johnson and Obama combined. Here we are again 1-1/2 years into Trump term and we are still resuscitating the death spiral of Biden’s term. Trump may not get it righted but damn sure better than what would have happened if another democrat had been elected. This may take a decade or more to straighten things out, if even possible, but there is never any doubt that republicans are always in repair mode after democrats failures.
But we are borrowing over 2 Trillion per year. It's totally insane. Get rid of entitlements and you balance the budget, Now how do you pay off the debt? We need an extra $Trillion a year to pay just the interest on $40,000,000,000,000 that only if the interest goes back down pre Iran,
It is literally everyone's fault. If we are to survive we can only afford the military, HHS and SS and Medicare, which was paid for (yeah, I know) in advance.
Life ALWAYS comes down to arithmatic. Words do not change that.

Depends if those words are responsible for reducing the amount of fraud in the systems, including those you mentioned. As we are learning how much went to bogus causes, outright fraud, state run fraudulent practices overseas waste through NGO’s it certainly adds up quickly and easily to guess that much hasn’t been seen yet

It will never get there because we will hit a debt service limit where we can’t even meet our interest obligations and the existing global economy will break necessitating a reset of some sort.
If we’re lucky it’ll be a Trump reset to gold standard or market basket of goods backed new dollar.
If we’re unlucky it’ll be an NWO agenda 2030 reset and we’ll all be serfs with our 401ks wiped out and a CBDC for the new currency where the government monitors and controls all financial activity using social credit scores like China.

national debt will be $100 trillion
Fortunately it won't happen. An astute and able political figure will emerge who will campaign, and win, on balancing the budget, and then while in office, will take the necessary steps needed to make this happen, which means the ever-unpopular practice of raising taxes, esp on high-income Americans.
Back during the Eisenhower Era taxes for the Rich reached 90%! The time has come to reduce our debt and return to the tax structure of that era.

So, tax the rich? That will fix everything?

It isn’t “funny” money and it absolutely matters. When inflation outpaces growth, your buying power decreases significantly. When the interest debt payment exceeds our ability to pay, then we are royally screwed. Right now the interest payment alone is 1 trillion. It will approach 2 trillion in the next decade. Which is almost half of current revenue collected, at 3 trillion defense and welfare programs will have to be slashed drastically. At 5 trillion, our currency for all intents and purposes will be essentially worthless.

None of those men ran for president recently and clearly and concisely explained what 40T debt is going to lead to, and how to do something about it.
