frick the cops. They’re nothing but goons of the establishment anyways
It's an honorable profession for those honorable enough to do it the way it should be done. I do understand sometimes they're few and far between.
It sounds like you've either had some run-ins with shittier officers, and I hate that for you. It's definitely not this way all across the board.

Nah those guys act all big and badass when 6 of them pull up on the side of the road to harass and intimidate you after running a stop sign but they turn into massive pussies when a POS is shooting some children. They can frick right off with the media
100 percent. Cops are the biggest LARPers in the world.

The kids were in the classroom were shot essentially immediately after it started and he entered the room.
At the time parents gathered, police it was over. There was no one to save. Only could have gotten more killed.
That is a pretty convenient narrative. Cops waited for an hour but all the kids were already dead so it is okay.
We know for a fact one girl was shot 5 times and survived. There were other kids in the room hiding that he did not know about. So no, not all of the kids were dead and no, it was not over for all of them.
How many others might have survived if medics had gotten to them sooner?
But at least none of the heavily armed officers lost their lives.

Ooof. That's a bit much.
I can't say it isn't deserved, though.

We dont know. Autopsies will tell us more about that. Then maybe we can pass judgement.

No. That’s why I asked the question. The person to whom I responded pretended to know the answer. I was highlighting that he did not know the answer.

The bad part is that all it takes is a few.
I've recovered missing kids. I returned a guy's stolen toolboxes to him so he could earn for his family. My squad found elderly folks who were stuck raising their grandchildren (because the kids' parents were dopers) and would take them Christmas shopping.
But you have to know that all of that heartwarming shite...no one ever really sees it. We did it because it was what had to be done. And we all knew that one dumb, rash decision would erode all of it.
I hate that you hold such a hard line opinion about police, but I understand. You should count yourself fortunate that you don't live the kind of life where one of these "LARPers" might end up being one of the people to give you a hand up one day.
A lot of people don't have that luxury.

I live in a crime ridden shite-hole, so basically just your average Louisiana city.
Despite all that and the desperate pleas for more cops and more funding, the fricking police will be setting speed traps at 6 in the morning on the highway.
You know who is driving at 6 a.m? Working people.
Those are the people voting for the bond issues. Those are the victims of the crime. But yea, let's force a "tax" on them.
And when you do nab one of them, be a dick about it as well.

I get that you don't like police, but it's silly to paint them all with a broad brush. I know it because I lived it.
But I do hope things improve for you. Maybe you could move somewhere nicer or really get out there and campaign for local politicians who will do right by the voters.
I'm confident in saying that your problems in life are probably not initialized by police.

Dude, I'm living my best life and I'm the happiest mofo you will ever meet.
I can afford to live in a nice gated community, so this shite hole doesn't affect me much personally, but I feel for the rest of the population.
Perhaps don't deflect on the personal lives of people you don't know when defending the thin blue line.
If all the manpower wasted on fricking traffic stops, speed traps and other wasteful bullshite was spent actually policing and solving crimes, life would be better for most people.

I thought the officers were pretty quick to act, but I wasn’t there either. The media is most likely trying to make the cops look bad like they always do because that’s the agenda the media wants to push these days.

As far as managing police resources, I again have to think that maybe you live in a place where those resources aren't managed well. I lived in several states and policed in two of them (both for large muni PDs) and it wasn't that way for us. Again, maybe you're conflating all LE operations based on your limited scope.
I wish you'd have had more positive experiences with LE in your life, or at least been exposed to the guys and gals that bust their arse to do a good job. Sadly, they are few and far between but far from extinct.

If they waited outside for an hour...that is NOT "quick to act".
The body shots most likely bled out while the cops waited outside holding their dicks, tasered frightened hysterical parents and told everyone that "we have it under control".

This entire situation is crazy. No calls to the school for a lock down. Why was the teachers entrance unlocked. (Is what I am hearing) How did he have time to find this door if he didn't know in advance. As time goes it brings more questions than answers.
And yeah. As posted how many children bled out in pain waiting for help.
MORE GUNS IS THE ANSWER. Can't depend on any one.

Honest question then. Why do all cops, even the “good” and “noble” ones, always circle the wagons and protect the “bad” ones? Even in the obvious, blatantly, shockingly “bad” situations? If it is true that most cops are good, and they are aware that one bad apple can ruin the whole barrel, then why do they all protect and cover for the rotten apples? It seems they would want to boot their asses and make an example of them; saying “this isn’t us; this guy was a jackass and doesn’t represent us”. But they don’t.

Tell me you didn’t watch the video showing the police officer with the deployed taser and the parent being detained on the ground by multiple officers without telling me you didn’t watch the video.
Here is a screenshot to make it easy.

Are you high? Cops have become so fricking militarized over the last 15 years it’s insane, not even up for debate. My small ho dump po dump town parades around fricking tanks in their Christmas parade every year. Hell some even have fricking robots. This take is one of the worst I have seen.
