They want the Governorships. They have put a ton into doing that.

The goal, change enough of America at the local level to effect the national level...

They might take Alaska. The R candidate is pretty bad.

Its easier to for dead people and illegals to vote in states where Dems run things.

Slackers. Illegals are good for 4-5 votes each.

A state can allow an illegal alien to vote in State elections.

Where that is a problem is the State government draws up the Congressional Districts.

That way they can by stealth gain more congressional seats.

Honestly, a more accurate description is to say that they want to effectively eliminate states.

They’re behind the eight ball on that one even if they win a lot tomorrow.

They’ve been a minority of governors for a while now and most legislatures are GOP.

Even with them winning governorships, there is only so much they can do to “fundamentally change” things without control of all levers of power.

I haven't heard news about it in a while, but Representative Mo Brooks from Alabama is suing the Census Department for this reason.

So they are running with the winning strategy that the Repubs implemented and succeeded with. They're a little late to the party

For Louisiana and Mississippi, is that such a bad thing?

Yes

Please don't tell me you need an explanation as to why

I'm sure you have your reasons.

I was thinking abolishing the statehood of LA and MS would be the perfect segway into unifying with Texas.

Of course, its understandable why Texas may decline.

Great. That's what they, or any other political or social movement should be doing. We live in a REPUBLIC after all.

and if this keeps them from expanding the continuing overreach of the federal government, even better.

They want to weaken Texas to start chipping away at their outsized influence. They want as many Libs moving to Texas cities as possible to gain more power and flip the state Blue. You have old school Texans dying off and limp wristed Millennials moving in. It's a doomed state.

I'm as conservative as you can be, but I know that the GOPe political types have been in power mostly for the past couple of decades and have put Texas to be blue in less than a decade. They have caved over and over thinking they can turn brown people into good Republicans. They failed and the deal is done.
Texas will be blue and there will be more and much more dangerous types to come down the pike than Beto.

That exactly what Republicans have been doing for years now. Have you been complaining? So many states have congressional delegations that don't come even close to matching the actual political makeup of the state.

Hell, we live in one. Do you really think that 83% of our state is Republican? Our delegation is.
