He was an abject failure at his job.

I was 19 years old when he lost to Reagan.

I fully remember the shitty shape he put our country in. He was despised for good reason.

And I’ll personally never forgive his incompetence.

I second this.

Society has changed so much since then. The country would melt down with another gas shortage. I believe riots would happen at gas stations.

Nope

I think if Merica is to actually be great it needs to be more than just a slogan. We left other parts of the world to escape Despotism and Monarchial blood lines. Yet we seem happy and content to piss away our rights to modern corporations and ultra rich folks as the new form of what we escaped.

Both sides are fleecing us until we wake up and make it about the actual citizens again.

We could bring back that term that was coined between 1976 and 1980: Misery Index

That was right in the middle of the hippie educated journalist/activists coming into the workforce. They saw how devastating that particular terminology was to carter and the democrats. There's never been another derogatory term regarding anything to do with a dem administration since that time by the media.

Not at 19

Being older, Carter was at the end of the problem, not the beginning. Imagine a 2nd term (where we took some more pain) and had an energy research with 30 to 50 years more added to it today. It is not that Ronnie took the short term and easy way out (massive debt pushed forward and added to since) it is that we lost decades of R&D on so many things that would probably make un independent today.

How many blame oil over coal policy from WW I for the cause of WW II?

Step back as you should age older and wiser then at 19 and see all the forest instead of a pesky tree or two.

My family on that end are known names. If you knew where to look, easy to verify, but that would ruin your narrative.

Good work!

They had only three weeks to train for this operation. Politicians as they do continue to mess with the planning causing no real set plan up until go time.

It was doomed from the beginning.

During my time in, Carter was without a doubt a cluster frick of any sorts of military leadership. He thought the world would join hands and sing "Kumbya"

Military: Dems cut and slice and makes us weak. Pubs build it back up.

We live in a world of "wanna be" Christians when so many preach hate and division in direct contrast to what Jesus actually taught. We are in an age of self interest over common interest which seems the exact opposite of what Jesus actually preached

What does this have to do with Jimmy Carter being the upstanding Christian you claim?
