The Left’s coming war on our diets (Meat, dairy)

Last year before COVID there were regular protests by far left environmentalists and animal rights activists outside French butcher shops all over that country. The far left and the media are setting the stage to come after our rights to enjoy meat based on “climate science”. If you want a good scare, check out this article from about a year ago...

Kamala Harris, lest Americans think otherwise, conceded she loves cheeseburgers. She didn’t seem too proud of it: “I mean just to be very honest with you; I love cheeseburgers from time to time. Right. I mean I—I just do,” she said, before gesturing toward the incentives and educational programs she’d institute to encourage moderation in eating. CNN’s Erin Burnett pushed Harris: Would she change the dietary guidelines “to reduce red meat specifically?” Because she is a woman of courage, Harris admitted: “Yes, I would.”
Another proponent of the frankly unimaginable—less beef—was Andrew Yang, who quoted a UN study saying that “we’re going to be OK if the vast majority of the world goes vegetarian immediately.” He quickly realized his words might be interpreted as anti-burger, and self-corrected: “But, again, this is a country where there’s a lot of individual autonomy.

Is this why the fast food chains are pushing that meatless meat crap?

The nanny state is coming.

You and I will not be allowed steak, bacon, cheeseburgers.
They on the other hand will sacrifice nothing.

This is what I hate about journalists and media.
What the frick does courage have to do with eating a cheeseburger?

I'm sure it's just a matter of time before they start telling us what time we have to go to bed at night. It's absolutely revolting

This may be a good thing. I could see this splitting the Democrat/Chicom party. Telling China they can't eat muttloaf and bat tartar could lead to internal conflict.

The free market will sort it out. If meat becomes scarce then price goes up. Then people will find another source of protein because no one is buying a $100 steak.
It’s like they forgot how market economies work.

The government nutrition dogma is so fatally flawed and unscientific, this is going to get ugly fast.

They will probably slap on a meat tax

The impossible burger is very disgusting and it tastes like shite. I didn't know it was plant based when It first came out, so I ordered it thinking it was just a higher quality of beef.

So, eat more of the stuff that pulls CO2 out of the atmosphere?

....yep, the global warming loonies got to figure out a way to stop all those cows farts. But there is always a silver lining behind every disaster. This should create a really lucrative black market on hamburger and beef.

A typical hamburger today carries 1000 cal.
Our beef has more steroids than protein. Government needs to clean that up before taking it off the menu.

She loves smoked sausage too

Want some more of that pea starch modified gluconate, acidified and hydrolyzed with glycerol, then reconstituted with amino acids?

Wonder when they'll go after hunting. The leftists won't be happy if they're eating tofu while I'm having venison.

These folks have no idea how much land and resources it takes to grow vegetables. They just hate the thought of slaughtering animals for food and think cow farts contribute to greenhouse gas(they don’t).
They are most likely the same folks that are ok with late term abortion though.
