You don't need AC in most of the north. Hell, I don't need it in our place here in Jersey. The basement lair is always cool. With the shade trees we have on our lot, I doubt the upstairs would ever get above 75. These Yankees need to not frick with the south about AC.

You are right. Up in New England central air is rare.
My mom is from there and we use to go there every summer. One year we were up there and there was a heat wave. Us Southerners were dying, it was horrible!
All the Yankees were running around like there was nothing wrong and kept asking us, You are from the South, aren't you use to this heat? I told them that in the South we had AC in every single building.
The only place that had AC was the movie theatre and me and my Dad saw Apollo 13 about 10 times.
I fear for the man that tries to come take AC away from menapausal or pregnant women!

The way to pry AC from the masses is to make your electric bill so very expensive that you wouldn't think to leave it running all day and all night.

I spend 400 dollars a month in electricity to keep my house at 65 degrees in the heat of summer.

The year was 1992 and the event was a “calendar girl” competition, something that George Houraney, a Florida-based businessman who ran American Dream Enterprise, had organized at Mr. Trump’s request.
“I arranged to have some contestants fly in,” Mr. Houraney recalled in an interview on Monday. “At the very first party, I said, ‘Who’s coming tonight? I have 28 girls coming.’ It was him and Epstein.”
