The Mueller Investigation is in mortal danger

quote:

Trump is preparing to shut down Robert Mueller’s investigation of Russian intervention in the 2016 election.

The administration and its allied media organs, especially those owned by Rupert Murdoch, have spent months floating a series of rationales, of varying degrees of implausibility, for why a deeply respected Republican law-enforcement veteran is disqualified to lead the inquiry: He is friends with James Comey, who is biased because Trump fired him; Comey is biased because he pursued leads turned up in Christopher Steele’s investigation, which was financed by Democrats; Mueller has failed to investigate Hillary Clinton’s marginal-to-nonexistent role in a uranium sale.

The newest pseudo-scandal fixates on the role of Peter Strzok, an FBI official who helped tweak the language Comey employed in his statement condemning Clinton’s email carelessness and has also worked for Mueller.

quote:

This is reality.” The notion of a criminal conspiracy by a hostile nation to intervene in the election in return for pliant foreign policy has gone from unthinkable to blasé, an offense only to naïve bourgeois morality.

It is almost a maxim of the Trump era that the bounds of the unthinkable continuously shrink. The capitulation to Moore was a dry run for the coming assault on the rule of law.

Yeah, that’s a melt. Almost Alinsky talking about “rule of law” coming from the left, after the last 8 years...

It is difficult to fathom the pretentiousness it requires to write consecutive sentences like this.

I have no idea if you live in the South or not, but practically any city in the Atlantic Megalopolis or on the Pacific Coast will be filled to the brim with people that have such noble, enlightened things to say. Now, I imagine there are a good bit of people inhabiting those places that disagree, but they are terrified of raising any kind of objection. I suppose the same could be said for a PANTIFA in the Deep South, but communists aren't actually people anyway.

They're already setting the narrative when Mueller finds nothing on Trump that Trump intervened to stop the investigation

Mueller stopping the investigation into Trump colluding with Russia is clear proof of Trump-Russia collusion.

Not a chance the left is thinking it is a witch hunt.

If anything with Trump jr. lying and telling house committee he couldn’t answer certain questions it is gaining support.

Hahaha. If I had to read another liberal quote that foolishness during the Obama era I'd vomit.

And the lack of writing skills--mixed metaphors floating in a sea of cliches (that was supposed to be ironically cliche).
