I carried water for him but no more. Landry’s opposition to tort reform is indefensible

The people who support Huey P Landry do not want small government and certainly do not want government to reduce their role in the lives of citizens.
They want the government to push THEIR favored cultural and social issues instead of the ones the left favors.

Sad thread. Jeff Landrys antics are exactly why republicans can’t win. The republicans are set up to pass any bill they want right now. This is when you put points on the board. Instead Landry is using this time for political posturing and virtue signaling.
His approach is really no different than the modern democrat.
So no, republicans and conservatives voters don’t need to be in lock step with their elected leaders, if their elected leaders are more interested in their personal agenda than their constituents.
Well there is certainly one politician that isn’t willing to stand up to them.

But lieutenant Dan, Landry isn’t even a Republican
Most cannot define what is a Republican and then defend how Trump is a Republican...and I am a Trump supporter based on his policies.

Man, you got him good, except your reading comprehension is so poor that you don’t understand that only says that a governor can’t run again in the next election after serving at least 1.5 consecutive terms. It’s like you dunked on yourself.
So you think this means JBE can’t run in 2027?

Maybe we are mad that Huey P. Landry is turning into a dictator.

Naaaaah. Much easier to address problems that are not problems in Louisiana. It costs the Governor and Legislature almost nothing.

Matt Walsh has a good defense of the 10 Commandment issue.

More power, less transparency. That's enough for me.

So you want it to be easy to get into a marriage but not to get out of it? What the hell kind of sense does that make? Impulsive people do stupid things like get married. Why would you want to force them to live the rest of their life with that mistake? Maybe we should make it much harder to get married. Perhaps five years minimum of documented dating and maybe a marriage certificate could be considered.

What has he done to earn him that moniker in your opinion?
he literally tried to gut public record laws where nobody could see his schedule or anything his admin was doing
He took control over the ethics board - the same board that has him under investigation
I'd imagine you would of had a major meltdown if JBE would've tried this

This means he can't run for a 3rd consecutive term. He can run again in 2027

The Lord’s sense. He was pretty clear on the subject.

Fortunately I live in FL. A red state but not run by religious fanatic type conservatives.
