Is that always the kind of shite you say when the odds of something happening again aren’t good?

I think his point is that 'Goodnes is better than Badness.' So, if he gets elected he promises to promote goodness.

That creature ran unopposed for the primary. She'll get shellacked in the general while walking away with some good coin.

May be more like: Republicans don’t own Christianity
What the Republicans say Christianity means isn’t what Jesus says Christian priorities are.

Well it might be easier to go after a white dude than a black woman.
Unless he comes out of the closest and admits he likes boys. Then the left will protect him

He's not winning in Texas, but he would be dangerous in a more purple state. He has done a fantastic job of branding himself as a Christian centerist who opposes the MAGA GOP wing by promoting love over hate. Now doubt they continue to be so successful with the GOP pushing back on messaging.

Only if Texas self immolates and nominates Paxton.

Rogan had him on his podcast and then was praising him with another guest saying he was "impressive"
Talarico is no different than the rest of his party. He wants open borders and thinks all white people are inherently racist.

Which is why everyone sat on all of his complete wackjob statements and are going to blare them nonstop now

I was just thinking this the other day. I was watching a Dallas news thing and they were horrified when they saw these clips about this guy because supposedly during the campaign nobody knew about these clips

Keep it up, that’s the type of complacency that will lead to a Talarico win and a Dem wipeout in 2026, like it was in 2018. By the way, Talarico first won his state seat in 2018, by winning as a Dem in a district that had long been held by the GOP.
Hopefully political leaders in TX don’t take your approach

This "christian" said that God gave Mary the opportunity to abort Jesus.

You think he’s going to get over 50% of voting Texans to push that button for him?
Through ballot harvesting, box stuffing, absentee ballots at nursing homes filled out by attendants, and sending busses to black churches... its entirely possible.

We survived thousands of years without prisons. The first prisons were in Mesopotamia, but only for short term detention. If you committed a serious crime they simply beat you or killed you. Maybe we need to return to that.

That’s some good stuff you’re smoking. Accusing the GOP anywhere of competence is pretty funny. They were desperate ly hoping that Crockett would win. They are have to choose between a Senator who was rejected by 58% of the voters and a guy that’s a crook. I think Talarico will beat either one easily. This seat looks like a flip.

What the Republicans say Christianity means isn’t what Jesus says Christian priorities are.
I watched his Rogan interview, and there is a lot of things like saying Jesus never spoke against homosexuality, and there is no way to know that the things from the old testament that lead to that conclusion actually meant that during that period. He misses that Jesus not mentioning something explicitly doesn’t mean it’s morally irrelevant, especially when NT authors address it.
Appealing to ‘love your neighbor’ doesn’t nullify moral boundaries the biblical writers still affirm. Paul’s argument against homosexual practice in Romans 1 is tied to natural order thinking and the Mosaic law. You can't just say I only follow the red letter text when evaluating what is right or wrong.
He's pro abortion because he says Gen 2:7 says God gave Adam breath and so life doesn't start until we take our first breath. Michael Heiser had a good critique of this idea calling it "patently illogical" noting fetuses draw oxygen in the womb and also argues that ek in Luke 1:15 can denote location, strengthened by the presence of “still/yet” (eti), so the sense is effectively “still in his mother’s womb,” undermining the “only after exiting” reading.
Talarico also says that Mary had to give consent based on Luke 1, when clearly that isn't what the text says. Luke 1 is about (Incarnation, divine initiative, Spirit activity, Christology), and it shouldn't be used as a policy analogy. It's funny how Talarico doesn't like other misquoting scripture or using it politically for things it may not say explicitly, but then he turns around and does the same thing.
He tries to make a case that he uses science in his opinions and others don't, but constantly refers to the fetus as a part of the woman's body. Scientifically, the fetus only has half her DNA and is therefore a different being.

My friend Ken Paxton has more lives than a cat. Btw, Trump will pick the GOP nominee prior to the May runoff...47 expects the other candidate to leave the race and coalesce behind his choice to beat Talarico.

Fair point, but Crockett could pull the black vote. This pasty white guy wont.
