If the argument is that China/Russia are the big proponents of globalism, we are going to need an entirely new definition of "globalism"

globalism or full spectrum dominance?

Heres some reading
You're baiting and switching.
That's the traditional definition of globalism and not the malleable/weird one MAGA created/uses.
If you're defining "globalism" as, effectively, voluntary international agreements, then Trump is perhaps the biggest globalist in international politics. His tariff scheme to renegotiate every trade deal is one of the most expensive acts of globalism (using that terminology) since WW2.
You think OP made a thread to talk about Trump taking a bit hit the part 24 hours? Explain.

Who is talking about capitalism?
In fact, the MAGA version projects something else.

That X post reinforces my argument
The whole MAGA "globalism" argument typically involves Russia opposing it, because, it's almost assured the narrative emerged from Russia and they filtered it through their content creators to MAGA types a long time ago (Although I'd wager the original conceptualization of the term, and likely its use within Russia today, is much more focused on Jewish people than how MAGA adopted it).
China, Russia, Iran, Venezuela, etc. are/were the ones fighting the "globalists"/NWO/Deep State"
quote:
Putin’s Special Envoy, who posts Q drops on X, in a meeting with President Putin, U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and Kushner, President Trump’s SIL.
“What if China, Russia and others are coordinating w/ POTUS to eliminate the NWO?”

See he gets the gist of MAGA's use of "globalism"

Slow, why did you ignore this post?
It mostly agrees with my argument. Very little to correct. No need to reply to it.
Go back to the first words (that you left out) of the post. I'll repeat it:

Russia/China/Iran are the triumvirate opposing globalism. Venezuela was one of their proxies.

Today I learned that regime change in foreign countries is anti globalism.

Regime change in a country opposing globalism is...anti-globalist?

So every nation on earth isn't still a consumer slave to the industrial might of an aggressive communist nation? We still aren't the world's chief exporter of warfare which we export frequently, regardless of who is in the White House? Oil wasn't seized from another oil rich nation by the globalist's number one paid bully? (The U.S.)
shite, globalism has never been better. And we can now stop pretending Trump doesn't march to their tune, same as the rest.

Hey if men can be women and Liberty can be fascism why can’t anti globalism be globalism?

Look my whole point for going on 9 years is that "globalism" has such a malleable definition it means nothing. You're talking my jive, now.

Sorry I did not see it.

If “globalists” enjoy a festering wound like Venezuela to exist, and for it to weaken the United States, and we take them out, we have now taken out some anti globalists while also pwning some globalists.

And you’ve previously acted like that’s poppycock.

The bold is a major leap like Iraqi WMDs.
[quote] we have now taken out some anti globalists while also pwning some globalists.
Which globalists? You used the word enjoy but I think you meant something like allow. Globalists have wanted regime change in Venezuela for a long time, but it wasn't possible/tenable for a bunch of reasons. Without the US, Venezuela is like the South American version of Ukraine.

China engages in economic globalism.
Denying that just makes you wrong.
At least come with a better argument.
Denying that just makes you wrong.
quote:
Leaders like Xi Jinping have defended globalization in speeches (e.g., at Davos in 2017), positioning China as a champion of free trade amid Western protectionism. The BRI, launched in 2013, is a massive infrastructure project connecting China to over 150 countries, promoting trade, investment, and connectivity—often described as “globalization with Chinese characteristics” or a “win-win” model.
At least come with a better argument.

You need to define globalism better. Is it people and markets under one unified sovereign or is it people and markets under separate sovereigns with hegemons competing for access to those markets to sell goods and trade?
I don’t see anyone serious advocating for the former; the latter is the reality of the world.
