Why is it that most environmentalists live in massive cities where being one with nature is limited to a community garden in a sea of concrete and steel?
Because sacrifices aren't for them. It's for other people.

It seems like the system is working pretty well if all these people are getting caught and charged.

And your term "exploitation" is bullshite. Some of the value accrues, rightfully, to the provider of capital in a risky project. Some of the value accrues to, usually, co-investors in the home country. Some of the value accrues to workers, etc., etc.

I bet you're one of those people who thinks Chevron screwed Ecuador.

This is like saying "well they solved a few murders so the system must be working pretty well".. when it is just a tiny percentage that were resolved.

So you have zero proof of "exploitation" on a wide scale and are just making wild accusations to support a misguided policy you want to enact?

Here's a newsflash for you: nations tend to be pretty goddamn protective of their resources and labor when foreign firms come in and participate.

*Grand, broad statement that means absolutely nothing because I still have no proof of what I said, can't back it up, and have zero experience in any of this.

He basically hit you with the standard liberal, "Well everyone knows" argument.

Has anyone bothered to develop an airplane that runs on renewable energy? Take fossil fuels out of the equation and you also take every airplane in the world out of the sky. You might want to do a study on the economic impact of that before you get too carried away with yourselves.

If the US military has tech/developmental plans stolen by an American servicemember on behalf of a foreign government.. is the US complicit in that?

If said servicemember does so with a written agreement approved by other high ranking servicemembers, yes.

Hillary, Obama, et al agreed to sell 20% of our uranium to Russia. I would say that is the US being complicit.

No one thinks fossil fuels are going anywhere. People want the reliance on them to be phased out

If you accept all the climate change data/theses as is and you're honest, you know the only way to stem the tide is for half or more of the world's population to disappear.

I am not sure you realized it, but you posted examples of the system actually working as intended.

You were then challenged on it, then responded with a vague statement that couldn't be backed up with anything concrete. You then refused to actually answer the challenge to your proposition yet again.

Very TX Tiger of you, actually.
