re: The fire investigation will be a giant PC coverup... "sources" already claiming electrical

I am no defender of the extremist, but as a firefighter when I saw the construction rafters, I felt it was construction related. A lot of times copper pipes are sweated in interior walls. If you are not extremely careful a small ember will smolder for hours and eventually catch. Would not be surprised if this is what happened here.

“Completed” may have been the wrong word, but even so, why are sauces already leaking electrical cause when it’s obvious that an investigation is still pending.

And you know this how? The church closed at 6:30 pm and the fire was reported 15 minutes later. Do the French work that late?

The French have their issues but when you attack their culture they will not be idle. They are still among the most nationalist peoples on this earth. Whatever the truth is will come out.

Maybe.... but we do know that last year 900 churches were attacked. We also know several were burned.
This year, Norte Dame has been subject of several attacks

ething pertinent here? From every account it appears to be accidental.
You're missing common sense and listening to the PC propaganda.
Nobody investigates a fire until it's out and the building is overhauled. Anyone that says different is a fricking liar.

Does it really matter what the sources say? poliboard has already decided and not a damn thing will change it

That still does not seem plausible.
If someone was right there and actually saw the point of ignition, how was it not dealt with before the fire became so large as to be unstoppable?

Liberals being bedfellows is the strangest pairing imaginable. I guess it is the “enemy of my enemy is my friend” thing? I don’t get it. At all.

It really is odd to see the same "side" that lambasted the DEMs for claiming to KNOW there was collusion and then having an investigation prove them wrong...NOW wants to declare a KNOWN prior to any investigation.
JEEBUS. Have we become so impatient that we can't let the fire go out before we demand retribution?

None of us know anything concrete. But the wood in the structure was hundreds of years old. Fire could spread as quickly as it used to spread in old plantation houses. It's such a tragedy. I'm glad I was fortunate enough to have gone there a couple of times. Hopefully the rebuild will take a hundred or so fewer years than the original build.

It's odd how many seem to take as a personal affront, any suggestion or even speculation, that muslims might have done something bad.

Not all of us but I do question the haste of their speculation of an electrical fire. It's not even out yet.

How has that shown itself to be true in recent times with the influx of "refugees" and the establishment of "no go zones"??

No, that isn't it. We are offended that right wing assholes will use the tragedy of the fire as an opportunity to vomit hate screeds.

And just like that a conspiracy is born.
Just make a statement that no one can disprove and voila!

Good thing y'all don't use fake hate crimes to pass federal legislation...

So I am a conservative Catholic.
I don't see how it isn't possible this was an accident. Old building like that aren't designed not to burn.

frick moose-limbs. But, I am fair-minded enough to desire evidence before vengeance.
If you want to hate Islamic asshats on general principle, I am with you. If you want to say "they" burned this building down...I need evidence.
