I don't know if that's valid either, but conservatives/Republicans used a similar argument when unemployment rate was declining under the Obama Administration
Number of jobs added or lost is a surrogate for unemployment. Therefore a decrease in unemployment rate and increase in wages is a positive trend.

Where are people seeing real wage growth? I see wages rising 3.5% over past year so. That is the inflation rate right now. So overall wage growth is flat.
Are people talking about specific industries?

No one will get an extra tax refund because more Americans are unemployed in a shite economy. Why is this good news
Because in my line of work, I deal with a lot of government employees and I see the unbelievable incompetence, the wasteful "jobs", and lack of concern for the work they are supposed to be doing (and I am well aware of how much money they make). There are some very good government employees, but those are probably the ones with actual useful positions who are doing actual work and keeping their jobs.

Government is bloated and wasteful for the most part from what I see, so I think eliminating wasteful positions is a win (which is probably what this is for the most part).
