No one will get an extra tax refund because more Americans are unemployed in a shite economy. Why is this good news?

I’m not 100% certain. When you realize that our 2Q gdp growth was a paltry 1.5%, this jobs report, and the downward revisions to previous months, is pretty frickin bad.
And then when you realize that over half of our gdp growth comes from a single sector (AI infrastructure) the overall view on the economy starts to really suck.
Then throw in the inflation numbers and gas prices, even if they are in fact temporary, then the view of the economy is very dark.

Actually the GDP is only 1.5% for two reasons.
Govt spending less accted for .8% negative
Import surge accted for 1.5% negative due to all the chips etc being imported to build out AI.
Take out these in the first quarter the GDP grew 1.7, take them out this quarter and GDP grew 3.9% so core growth is pretty darn good and growing.
There was also real wage growth in July.
This economy is positive and growing, and Americans are taking illegal jobs.

Ai ordering. You can use kiosks, apps, etc. Calling restaurants to place an order is AI now. No more broken English to decipher over the phone.

Why would anyone celebrate inflation increasing by 3.5% in a single month?
That's not a victory for Americans.
edit: After googling, I misinterpreted the 3.5% - that's the annual rate.
