Muh damn endorsements. You and 9 other people make 10 who give a shite. If one of yall’s new “Done With Trump Caucus” has as a requirement “must fall in alignment with my personal principles as to character in the endorsement selection process” I’m sure Trump would agree that it’s best for y’all to go in a different direction. He’s too busy for high-maintenance situations and likely finds that the cost outweighs the benefits. And I would think Desantis has a very similar outlook on it. I don’t intend any personal offense, it’s just a hot subject.

You also cannot have public schools without kids to go to them.

Answer my question. How big is it you think a place needs to be to have private schools?

Any type of gun law that is not an amendment to the 2nd amendment is an illegal law and can be ignored! This is all you really need to know!

You are exactly right!!

But a Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty once lost is lost forever. When the People once surrender their share in the Legislature, and their Right of defending the Limitations upon the Government, and of resisting every Encroachment upon them, they can never regain it. Letter from John Adams to Abigail Adams, 7 July 1775

It's true. Look at Mexico. Amended the constitution to turn the right to bear arms into the right to keep arms. then they passed laws that effectively disarmed the populace. result?

Cartels rose to power because they didn't give a shite about laws and the average person was now no threat to them - indeed, if you want protection you might have to work with them.
Incredibly corrupt police, demand bribes for incredibly minor infractions, they have a gun and you do not, they are god over you and they know it.

So we already have a blueprint of what happens if the 2nd amendment goes away. Organized crime becomes uncontrollable, and police and government abuse their power because they fricking can.

Republican Party needs to regroup

Definitely. It looks like that party in the senate has 10 members who care about America and its safety, and its children, and 40 who are ok with an occasional act of mass gun violence and mayhem. Not a good look by the "Grand Old Party."

Question for you - do you know that gun control won't do shite for suppressing violent crime and you're just doing the typical Dem v Rep shite, or do you actually think that any form of gun control in a country already with more than 400 million firearms in private hands could make a substantial positive difference?

If by regroup you mean 95% of them need to pack their shite and go home and be replaced by some construction company owners and farmers, then, yes, let the regrouping begin.
Honestly, if a farmer, or building contractor, or small business owner, or even a finance guy from a savings and loan would run, and could gather enough donations to get a first set of commercials up and say,
quote:

"I'm (made up name..) John Tucker. I've never ran for office before, and if I don't get elected, I'm not going to keep trying until I win. But I will try now. Our current Senator, John Cornyn, has failed Texas on every major policy. He's all hat and no cattle, as we say in Texas about people who speak one way and act another. I won't. What you see is what you'll get in Washington. A hard working, family and faith oriented private citizen fed up with DC politics. Send me to Washington, and I will vote on behalf of my constituents, not New World Order Czars in other countries. You can count on it. I'm John Tucker, and I approved this message."

I'd volunteer to fund raise, put out signs, knock on doors, etc..

How ironic is this whole scenario! The Left destroys the Capitalist/Constitution-based System in order to “fundamentally change “ it and he Right realizes that the System has become corrupted to the point that it must be essentially destroyed’ in order to eradicate the corruption. This is one for the ages. It’s a damn shame we can’t at least get an honest discussion of the real human societal dynamics such as to get some benefit re the pain that is coming. ‘Leaders’ my arse!

Cormyn, Cassidy and Graham, all ran on Trump's Platform, then switched and stabbed him when the vote was stolen.

Well yeah, if Republicans do nothing on gun control, they’ll lose in November.

Know your base. This is Republicans and Conservatives, not black democrats. Pissing them off means they will stay home or leave that slot blank.
