Assuming you are correct, then why would anyone vote for a socialist? It doesn’t make sense at all if what you are saying is true for most people.

But you aren’t correct. Just take a look at the average salary from the 70s-80s and compare it to today’s average salary. Now, compare that number to housing costs or perhaps childcare. These costs have increased exponentially and wages haven’t followed. This is especially true for younger people in large cities which, not coincidentally, is where these people just got elected.

I knew you would weasel out something supporting her.

You forgot the traits of being stupid and malleable to support voting for someone like her.

Is it really hard to figure out?

No matter how good people have it, there will be some that are envious of those that have more - and those people, along with the politically retarded, are cannon fodder for Democrats.

Again, congratulations on swallowing the nonsense the Left spews, hook, line and sinker.

Too much of the country is economically illiterate.

You really have to hate the country to elect that bitch. There is no spinning it. Does anyone want to try and defend her? I'll listen. Commie Mandami has an evil grin like he knows it is part of the big plan.

It gets even worse when you look at who she beat and that persons voting record. The looney left is taking over and booting out the far left. Far left isn’t enough anymore. I think AOC will be considered a centrist within the party within a few years.

Because 75% of democrats will vote for a socialist before they ever vote for Trump or anyone who supports Trump. Another 20% will just stay home. The remaining 10% (the sane ones) will hold their nose and vote for the Republican simply to say no to socialism.

And yes, I’m aware that none of these socialists were running against republicans. It was a primary where several far left democrats were outed by looney socialists. The party is being taken over.

In 1975, the median sales price of a new home in the United States was $38,100.

quote:

The current national median price for an existing home is $429,300, according to the latest May 2026 data from the National Association of Realtors (NAR).

quote:

In 1975, formal childcare centers were relatively rare, and structured daycare programs cost an average of $20 to $30 per week (roughly $80 to $120 per month), while licensed preschools cost slightly over $50 per month.

quote:

The national average cost of center-based childcare in the United States is $1,230 per month (or roughly $15,000 annually) for a single child.

quote:

In 1975, the average (mean) household income in the United States was $13,779, while the median household income stood at $11,800, according to historical data from the U.S. Census Bureau.

quote:

The average (mean) household income in the United States is $121,000, while the median household income—which represents the exact midpoint of all American earners—stands at $83,730 according to the annual data tracking from the U.S. Census Bureau.

These are the ones off the top of my head. I’d challenge that healthcare and insurance of all kinds are just as bad.

FYI: Less than 40% of married women worked in 1975. Today, 75% of married women with children work.

Also, I’ve never voted for a Democrat in my lifetime or a socialist and that includes the ‘Republican’ ones. While I totally disagree with socialism as a solution to these problems, I think you should try to understand why people voted that way.

Those numbers may be true and likely are.
BUT
the median house, or car, or phone or whatever today has infinitely more comfort/convenience/luxury built in than it did 20 years ago.

Example-

In 2001, I bought a Nokia bar phone that worked just fine to make phones. That was the norm. Now the norm is a $1000 iPhone with a plan somewhere around 70$/month.

You can still get a phone that makes calls for about $25 and a basic voice/text plan for $10/month. But that’s not what most people choose. They choose the expensive stuff.

This phenomenon implies to everything. “Comfort creep” is real.

Yes stuff is more expensive. But that is because we want it nicer/easier/better/etc.

Salaries and purchases will both tend to follow supply and demand.

We are not that much better at making money or producing valuable items/ideas that others want so salaries may be increasing but do so slowly.

We want a lot of stuff and we want nicer and nicer stuff so that creates a demand for the prices go up.

This is the reason it is so “tight” for young adults in the current market.

This is the Democratic Party. They have pivoted so far left in the last 15 years, they cannot and will not turn back. It’s difficult for a lot of working families to save money now but soon enough, it will be impossible because over half our paychecks will be taxed, in order to provide for these bums that refuse to lift a finger to better themselves.

Bull-fricking-shite. You have bought the Left's complete nonsense. Congratulations.

Americans have never had it as good as they do now, and that's across the board. It's hard to understand how a country so full of fat and lazy frickers carrying around iPhones to order in their meals while streaming something pay-per-view for $199 on their 83" OLED TV, the night after paying Taylor Swift $1200 to sing them songs at the stadium - think they've got it tough.

Not that there aren't challenges and short term blips here and there. There always are. But big picture, life has never been better economically for Americans than it is now.

Easy for you to say, I wanted the Swiftie VVIP tickets for 2 grand but had to settle for less, ALL because i had to pay fiddy cents more a gallon for gas for two weeks. Its all so stressful, hand me that twinkie and my double big gulp, Im gonna drown my sorrows with netflix streaming bts.
