I’m absolutely convinced you idiots have no clue what the word “decimated” means.
I think the military casualty ratio is in the neighborhood of 15 US deaths (9 at the hands of the Iranians) vs 6000 dead IRGC and regular military + 15,000 or so wounded. Meanwhile, we flew thousands of sorties against targets, virtually unopposed.

The Iranians have already begun setting up a branch of government responsible for oversight of the strait.

The Chinese will supply them with modernized military equipment a lot quicker than you think.

Well we need to get that because this guy’s suggesting he’s the holder of the official international definition of “decimate.” Dude’s famous. Never know who you’ll run across in here.

you idiots seem to think they are stronger.
And again absolutely no clue what the word decimated means. But clearly to you a “decimated” country is able to shut down the Strait, shoot missiles at its Middle East neighbors and throw the world into an energy crisis.

We achieved none of the objectives we wanted in the first place. Strait opened (it was open before the war), regime still in place, funding for terrorist proxies will continue, no agreement on anything nuclear for 60 days. Please tell me how this deal is a W hahaha

Yea that’s what we keep hearing just a few more cease fire extensions and I’m sure Iran will cave in to all our demands

Imminent today no deal and we have all the time in the world. Trump is getting played

Seems to me, The Deal should be: Bring us every ounce of your uranium, and then we’ll talk. Not the other way around like this is.

Revisionist history. Nice try. Strait was open with free and safe passage on February 27 and before. Create a problem. Solve the problem you create Expect accolades for solving the problem you create
no it was not open when iran could mine, attack or threaten to attack any ship in the strait whenever it wanted to
that is not open, that is controlled
when I read that Trump wants the strait open as a term that means Iran can not interfere with safe passage of legally registered traffic through the strait ever again
iran can defend themselves only
i think some of you guys are too dense or blinded by TDS to understand the difference

The Strait was open before the War. You’re being disingenuous to say otherwise.

quote:
Iran’s history of targeting ships in and around the Strait of Hormuz spans decades of maritime conflict, typically escalating during periods of intense regional tension or broader warfare.
The historical timeline of these operations encompasses several notable phases:The Tanker War (1980s): During the Iran-Iraq War, both nations frequently targeted merchant vessels and oil tankers in the Persian Gulf to cripple each other's economies. Iran used heavily armed speedboats and laid naval mines, which prompted the U.S. Navy to escort Kuwaiti oil tankers through the strait to protect them.
Heightened Sanctions (2010s): In response to international sanctions over its nuclear program, Iran regularly threatened to close the strait. It also increased the harassment and boarding of commercial vessels it accused of smuggling fuel.
2019-2025 Seizures and Sabotage: The U.S. Navy blamed Iran for multiple limpet mine attacks on oil tankers near the strait. During this period, Iran also seized several internationally flagged vessels, including Greek and Portuguese-flagged tankers, often in retaliation for seized Iranian assets abroad.
The 2026 Conflict: Tensions flared into open warfare, with Iran attacking commercial vessels, firing cruise missiles and drones, and attempting to disrupt shipping routes entirely. This resulted in significant naval engagement from the U.S. and allied forces to secure the strategic chokepoint.
until now the strait was controlled and often held hostage by Iran, that is not really open
Iran’s fast boats, navy, mine layers and missiles covering the strait are nowvdestroyed
when the deal is signed, Iran will no longer be able to control the strait and attack ships, seize cargo and hold hostage the safe passage of ALL legal traffic
then it will be fully open

If they get this
They don’t need this
quote:
- Sanctions on Iranian oil are lifted.
They don’t need this

- The United States will make no payments to Iran.
