And yet you claim other nations see them as being bulied?

WE see them as terrorists. We are not the world. The world may have seen them that way, but they will see them differently now that they stared down Trump and made him back down.

Are you doing the left's "pretend to not understand things"?

Other than setting their military back by a decade. What have we gained?

Not a damn thing. IMO with sanctions lifting Iran "won".

So Vietnam was a major player post 1975?

No I am trying to grasp the concept an decimated Iran is now seen as a major force to be reckoned with.

If sanctions were lifted, but they agreed to giving up all material above power generation grade, would that be a win?

Agree , it’s only a win if Iran gives up their highly enriched uranium, and oil movement is restored, unfettered. That’s the bar you have to reach, and I doubt it will be at this point, but hopefully, just don’t trust either side, here, especially Iran

So Iran, as a nation, is a good comparison to Vietnam?

Jesus Christ

I spend entirely too much effort on this board, if this is the level of intellect I am left contending with.

You don’t trust the American side, barely more than you trust Iran? I’d love to hear that explanation.

Okay let's try this, in what way could Iran project any sort of influence and power beyond the region?

Really???… Iran play in this is what everyone else has done (Taliban, Vietnam, Korea, Cuba, etc.) the play for us on a world stage ain’t completely eliminating none of these countries.., the play rather you like it or not is the “status quo”… everyone still knows their place a superpower wasn’t created nor was a superpower destroyed… this been our play the last 80 years
