Agree. At this point I think even the most peaceful among us are realizing that we aren’t going to talk or vote our way back to a civilized society. The sick and the evil will continue to be influenced by the powerful sick and evil until people have to make terrible choices.

Agreed, and I would add a little more nuance.
First of all, Trump did survive, so no one was lost. Just that alone made that event different.
Secondly, it wasn't as surprising when the leftists were expressing disappointment that Trump wasn't killed. It was still disgusting, but I wasn't surprised.
They surprised me this time. They revealed that they don't just hate Trump in a disgusting and subhuman manner. They hate anybody who disagrees with them that much.
They want you dead.
I guess I probably knew that intellectually, but I now know it emotionally.

I'm so tired. I'm frustrated, mad, sad, & have no idea what the answer is at this point. I was actually shocked at myself how upset I've been all evening over the loss of Charlie.

If you want to see real change then we need to be spiritual and community leaders.
We need to go to church and spread the word. We need to monitor what are kids are consuming on the internet. We need to be at school board meetings.
Instead of sitting on our duffs watching sports, movies, etc., we should be out organizing community events and making real impacts.
Advocating or wishing for a violent conflict is a wasted use of the energy you're feeling right now. Be prepared to defend yourself and your family, but also be prepared to do God's work.
