Wasn’t he on the Theranos board? Or, at the very least a huge supporter of Theranos and Elizabeth Holmes.

Kissinger of today is not the same as Kissinger in the 70s and 80s.

Coronavirus is taking a sledgehammer to globalization and we will not be returning to the last 40 years of Globalism after this.

I wish that you are right but I have my doubts.

There are very powerful, very influential, very wealthy individuals and organizations, both known and unknown, both internal and external, that will remain fully committed to furthering globalism.

These individuals and organizations are far reaching throughout the government, corporate, academic, cultural, media, and trade realms as well as other areas.

Define globalism.

Do you mean American companies only sell in America? and foreign companies only sell in their country?

Of course not. That description is much too narrow.

Well I am waiting. What is globalism?

Kissinger has never been a globalist when it comes to government but has always been a free trader.

Globalism used to be this idea that government should be merged and the organizations like the UN should have broad authority. That is BS.

Now most here believe if a company imports anything it is un American and a big globalist. Here most believe free trade is globalism.

We have defeated the communism of the sixties with trade. It is absolutely foolish to pick trade fights now. Asia is growing, the West is not. As the Asians become more capitalist as they are their economies grow. There is no shame or real problem if a country like China surpasses the US in overall economic production. Our goal should be to continue to advance our standard of living and the main obstacles to that we seem to creating ourselves---big debt, big government(s) as the states grow too, social division ect.

We have created an enemy much tougher than the Soviets could have ever dreamed of being through trade.

Who are we to determine that?? Are you saying that we can tell the oil countries which currency to trade in? or the different countries that actually use our currency today in trade they have to use it?

If the dollar is displaced as the reserve currency favored by many countries it will be our own doing.

Democrats, and plenty of Republicans, will push for some sort of health database that could be used to keep people from going out in public. Much more intrusive examinations by TSA to get on planes.
