So you are good with a shop traveling 10K miles with no reported problems, not one tug towing into port which is a norm , containers stacked to brim at a height near the bottom of bridge but quick to jump on the msm narratives

Just let Stout do his doom and gloom thing. He will pivot to something else sad by tomorrow.

This is getting a little silly.

I find the focus on DEI to be annoying as frick. And it is true that many organizations have dumped resources into the black hole of DEI at the expense of other, arguably more productive endeavors. That said, blaming this accident on DEI is just nonsense.

How do you know? Maybe it did. Maybe it didn't. Prudence and the ridiculousness of DEI requires suspicion.

What's doom and gloom about noticing every time there is a disaster here lately the company involved has DEI programs infesting their hiring process vs just hiring the best overall?

I thought it was a Maersk boat.
Synergy owns them?

My conclusion is simple. I don't care how many DEI programs they have. Ain't nothing but baws going to get on a boat for months at a time. Probably too much meth

Did you not see the video showing 2 tugs guiding it out to the normal release point?

The crash had nothing to do with coming into port. It was going out of port.

For God's sake, OP, the company that manages the 'Dali' is Singapore-based Synergy Group.

Your image shows the web translation of their Chinese-language boilerplate inclusion page, complete with a stock photo of happy smiling foreigners.

What a steaming pile of fake outrage.

Have you seen stout's posts?

He spends hours surfing the web for articles, real or not, to sky scream about.

Merchant ships are not places where you have DEI hires. Ever been on one? These companies make damn sure that they have people who know what they are doing on the bridge and running the engine room. Plus the harbor pilots in Baltimore are largely "family" types in that you are born into it....definitely NOT DEI types.

Could be , just probably there was a catastrophic failure at the power plant level. It does happen.

Almost every mid sized firm and above of any sort has a DEI officer, initiative, or department. Seems like grasping at straws.

Why don't you waste some of your Internet effort and produce a manifest of the people on board and their backgrounds.

Shows us your work, not a talking point with no factual support.

How long before we find out a DEI hire was behind the helm?
