It’s funny to me how the guy stating that gender affirming surgeries and regretted outcomes are both so very low percentages of the overall population that his opposition is shouting about nothing….is the same guy that will cite incest and rape to explain why abortion is needed healthcare.

Just from what I see in his campaign commercials, he took the conservative voters wish list policies and project those as his. His past record and his party does not stand by what he says he stands for.

I applaud him for doing a town hall. This was supposed to be a debate. Where is Paxton? He won't debate. He won't do a town hall.
MAGA loves to use these trigger words to get everyone all hyped up. Trans and illegals are the key words now. That's all they promote. There is no plan to make things better.

Those men fought for people to have the ability to vote for either person, and it’s a little ridiculous for you to say otherwise.
If that’s why you served, I disagree, but thank you for your service.
If you didn’t, then I don’t think you get to speak for those people who put their life on the line. Most of whom think that their primary purpose is to serve Americans regardless.

Why would any non Democrat candidate agree to anything with CNN? Might as well just go to the DNC headquarters.

1. Trans issues - I agree with him on part of this; I think it is a smaller issue than it is made out to be on the political campaign where it dominates Republican talking points.
That being said, I believe the approval or lack of dismissal in this area is making kids think that it is ok to be a different gender than you actually are, instead of working on correcting someone’s gender dysphoria
2. Abortion - vehemently disagree with him here, especially from a biblical perspective. Jeremiah 1:5 and Psalms 139:13-16 talking about God knowing us from when were in the womb and is involved in forming us there.
3. I don’t love that he used the term non-binary, but I don’t have an issue with him saying God is neither man nor woman. I’d disagree, based on the use of calling him Father, but if he wants to say God is a spirit instead of a human and that he created men and women in His image than that’s fine.
4. Voter ID - in the clip posted it says you can bring a concealed carry ID, but not a student ID and he thinks you should be able to use either. I understand his reasoning. Personally, I think a driver’s license or passport should be needed. If you need one to buy beer or fly, I think you should need one to vote, but I can be swayed here.
5. I lean a little more left here than most, but that’s probably because a grew up and played sports with kids who were not here legally. I do think we should be spending the majority of our resources focusing on criminals and securing the border.
To summarize, it’s not surprising those are the clips the RNC Research posted. Those are the ones that most of their supporters or middle ground people are going to disagree with and get mad about. If you watch the full town hall and don’t go in with a ton of anger in your heart, I thought it was a good discussion and I wish Paxton would have been there to speak to the voters as well.
