I’ve been thinking of some of the arguments against Hgraf/graphene.
Some of them seem to hover around the Essential vs Optional nature of the product.
How do you really get folks to test, tweak, test again and then use when their current process seems to work fine.? “We’ve always done it this way”.
Yes there are amazing lab test and use cases, but what is the material cost difference. Yes, for some things and designs, smaller/stronger is needed but for others, why make a change?
Some commercial applications are all about performance and longevity but so many personal products are made with planned obsolescence.
When you have a versatile product that can do so much, how do you focus on any one use case. Should Hubron open up a Texas facility.
How many Hyperion units do you need to produce how much graphene at what price for the stock to be worth 1,000/share?

Yeah, that’s why I’m not buying more, even though I’m very tempted.
Added more this morning when I was over what I should gamble. Now I’m way over.

I’ve never done limit orders. Would limit orders be the preferred option or just market buys and roll the dice with how much the stock might jump at opening?
ETA: Or do we not see a jump at opening at all?

I dipped my toes into this in late December with 500 at $2.04. Added 3500ish in January at an average of $2.61. Added again this week with 3000ish at $2.33. But I am past what I should have invested in a speculative play so while I want to pick up more shares, I will have to show some restraint.

Pops was an alcoholic, a Vietnam vet and an old school redneck.
We had a mouse problem. From his living room chair, he spotted one of the fickers sitting on the lip of an open kitchen drawer. He drew quick, but the mouse was quick, too. Pops was smarter and aimed his little pistol an inch or two down and got him with a shot through the drawer face.
The bullet hole remained until we moved as a reminder not to cross the man.
He was raised rough, if you could call that raising. He jumped from planes and helicopters in the jungle while the enemy shot at him. He left the military for the Easy life of working on oil rigs. But he survived that to eventually raise 6 kids, find sobriety, and find Jesus. I miss him so.

What is eveyone holding? I’m currently with 1600 shares.
What are reasonable ranges for a single speculation play? x dollars or x percent? What about for an aggregate percentage for all your speculative plays? Such as no more than x % of your investments.

Most retirees find there expenses follow a smile pattern instead of a straight line. Early retirement sees some spending as you might want to travel and do things. Then there is a dip where you do less and your crap is all paid for. Then an uptick towards the end for higher medical cost.

He has been in Gonzales for a couple of years but has spent his whole priesthood before up north (dakotas maybe).
He seemed like an OK guy but with some health problems. I enjoyed his homilies but wasn’t involved at that parish. If I recall, he grew up in Baton Rouge but moved away for college and became a priest. His aging local family and a shortage of priests in Baton Rouge, were reasons for him to transfer down.
With limited ties to the area, I think someone convinced him early that the change was needed and for better or worse, he has hitched himself up to that side.
I was very pleased when my kid was in catholic school where the church and school really teamed up for a good experience. Great priest and great lay people are key to a good community. Alas there always seems to be infighting and personal politics at some point.

Uber uses similar pricing algorithms.
They know what restaurant you are at and which hotel you are heading to. They know if you’re local or on business travel. Their algorithms use the data to provide a price.
It was suggested to me to walk down the street from the nice steakhouse I was at and put in a random address a block from the hotel.
None of my apps need to read my email. This has to stop.

One huge step in the right direction would be to separate catastrophic coverage for major procedures and diseases from coverage to see a primary care doc and get basic medications.
The two unavoidable things that skew the cost of healthcare are old people and sick people. We have a plan for old people, Medicare. We have no plan for really sick people.
If Medicare or something similar could step in a pay for certain illnesses and procedures, the remaining cost would be more manageable for everyone and insurance would be more affordable and dynamic.

Sorry you have to go through that. I’ve given a lot of thought lately to our (mankind’s) capacity for greatness and our seemingly equal capacity for depravity. At the end of the day, she has to lie in the bed she made. You can only do what you can do.
Best wishes to you. May the mother and daughter rest in peace.
