These talking points have existed since Mao was attempting the Great Leap Forward, for referential purposes.
Now, is China likely engaging in online activity, similar to Russia, and influencing both sides of the debate to raise the emotional level of American citizens and reinforce tribalism? Yes. This is a practical endeavor and not an ideological one, however, and it's working.

You'd be surprised to learn how many people are completely vulnerable to constant propaganda. The ones who reject the mainstream media's "left wing" propaganda will turn around and consume "right wing" influencer propaganda with no reservation, to the extent of parroting enemy talking points during wartime.
China is an energy hungry giant. They went after Venezueala but Trump stymied them there for the time being. They are dead set on taking control of the Middle East because they consider that consider that part of their domain. Iran is their foothold and their hammer. The belt and road project, which flows through Tehran on it's southern track, is designed to bring all of Eurasia under their dominant influence. But somehow western dimwits end up believing that a global midget like Israel is the real threat in this US-Iran conflict. We're about to win the Global Darwin award.
