Strangely I did not invoke God in this thread.

That would be the disingenuous poster holden.

Direct your ire elsewhere and go re-read the thread for context if you don't believe me.

No dumbarse. Having a black national anthem is divisive. The star spangled banner is for all of us. Having a national anthem for one particular race of people is extremely racially divisive. Imagine the outrage if white people collectively had come up with that idea for black people to have this and maybe you will have some idea of how stupid it is.

For years many of you have bitched about the secularization of our society. “Where is God in public events?” you asked. You howled with glee when Tebow prayed in the end zone as you held up your “John 3:16” placards.

Now the NFL wants to play a song ABOUT GOD, and you are losing your damn minds.

What in the actual frick?
I'm still taking a knee

Then I'm getting up and doing a google search for the location of this "black nation"

But how can you sing the Lord's song in a strange land?

I don't have a problem with the lyrics. I don't have a problem with it being played at games.

Just don't call it a National Anthem, or play it in place of or with equal reverence to the one and only National Anthem.

If it was sung to glorify him, but not to push a political narrative.

“True to our native land”?

Like, Africa?

That means mine would be Scotland, Ireland and England.

How would this support a unified nation called the United States of America?

If I hated it as much as they do I’d just go back to the “native land” in reference.

I think all anti-USA bitches should do the same

I just read the words to "Nuthin but a 'G' Thang" and see nothing about God in there.

You think that rehabilitates a separatist movement?

Amen.

This is not used to praise God. It is used as a political weapon to bring about fundamental change to this country.

“O Lord, open my lips,
and my mouth will declare your praise.
For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it;
you will not be pleased with a burnt offering.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.”

The nfl botched that. It has a name. Use that and not include the black national anthem and this would of gone right on through.

I have a problem with it too! It's divisive and inspires racism. We need to be American, nothing else.

No it’s not. It’s actually a song written with the intent of praising Abraham Lincoln. Literally the same guy whose statue they want destroyed.

Seeing a left winger invoke God to try to make a point is both hilarious and sickening at the same time. Take that bull shite and a big pile of sand and pound it right up your arse.

Wasn’t it the left that had God removed from school or had the Pledge of Allegiance taken out because of the words One nation under God? And now they gonna force this shite on us. Someone should sue the NFL, if I’m an atheist I’m very offended the NFL is pushing God on me.

Jesus is pretty divisive:

21 “Brothers will turn against their own brothers and hand them over to be killed. Fathers will hand over their own children to be killed. Children will fight against their own parents and will have them killed. 22 Everyone will hate you because you follow me.
