You understand they’re flipping because of the younger generation of locals it’s not just the rich people from the coasts. Boise is the same way.

It is crazy the number of democrats fleeing their own policies form other states to move to states like TX, TN, and FL. They then bring the same views they fled from.

You're forgetting that California has the highest number of GOP voters from any state - 6 million people. Unless they do a study on the political positions of the people who are part of the California Exodus, you can't assume they're all leftist. And just because they live in a super high COL state doesn't mean they have $15 million in assets. A lot of people who leave california do so because they simply can't afford it.
In the case of New York, it's mostly elder retirees who have a bunch of money saved up and don't want to pay the stupidly high tax rate. So they move to beach property in NC, SC, and FL. It's not young people moving down, because the economy in those states revolve around tourism. People forget that Florida still has the highest number of elderly people living there out of any state in the US.
