Tesla is moving on from being soley a car company. Robotics is their focus for the future now. That and licensing the FSD.

Your money has to be somewhere. If he bought Twitter he had to sell something else. And Twitter is not a thing he can consume; buying it is a charitable service.
That was Musk’s point: that anything above $3 billion is actually money you have to give away. Musk chose to give it to the citizens of the USA (and maybe much broader) by buying Twitter and refocusing it on free speech.

Oh, this lie? Elon just “bought into” Tesla? Tesla was incorporated in 2003, and Elon was the lead investor for the very first round of funding in 2004. Tesla had no products, just ideas, when Elon joined Tesla.
