If any of these Senators are from of your State, take a minute to thank them.

quote:

The Republican senators opposed to the plan were Marsha Blackburn (Tenn.), John Boozman (Ark.), Mike Braun (Ind.), Mike Crapo (Idaho), Bill Hagerty (Tenn.), Josh Hawley (Mo.), Mike Lee (Utah), Cynthia Lummis (Wyo.), Roger Marshall (Kan.), Rand Paul (Ky.) and Tommy Tuberville (Ala.).

Highly disappointed Cruz, and Kennedy are not on that list . Those 11 senators get it , everyone else had their heads in their asses .

Does that mean that the bill is dead? That we get to keep our 40 billion?

I'm shocked SHOCKED Mrs. Lindsey isn't on that list. (I'm disappointed but not shocked Tim Scott isn't either.)

I thought the same thing, Very disappointed. If Cruz had any intentions of running for POTUS in the Future, voting for this just sent his credibility of America first down in Flames.

Both of mine. And my Rep has been vocal in opposition to this.

Tubbs.

Where is Sentrius? You were and have been 100% wrong in everything you said about the man. Come back and apologize.

At this point sadly many say they are America first , but they simply are not . Cruz voting for this solidifies this notion for me . At this point only few are truly America first . I’d say Trump, Hawley , Desantis, and Paul truly get it . Hawley although young, is on the right side of every policy that i see .

Looks like the final vote is later in the week.

Senate advances $40 billion Ukraine aid package

quote:

Senators voted 81 to 11 to end debate on a motion to proceed to the legislation, setting up a final vote on the bill for later in the week.
It’s an important test of Republican support for continued U.S. humanitarian and military assistance for Ukraine after several prominent Republican voices, including former President Trump, questioned the size of the $40 billion package.

Some Republicans, including Sen. Bill Hagerty (Tenn.), announced before the vote that they would not support it.

Well, at least we have a list of those noncorrupt politicians who are not siphoning millions out and using the Ukraine as their personal ATMs.

Cassidy doesn’t shock me, but I am a little surprised Kennedy supported it.

Sickening.

Have to figure in politics here. Boozman is in a fight for his senate life against Jan Morgan, who is MAGA as it gets, except she is better/stronger on the 2A than Trump will ever be. Boozman has been a spineless, establishment bitch for a long time. Has to be why he's on the list.
